A foreign book cafe

Hi, everyone!

I’m pleased to hear your kind suggestion about DVD players, Plum. I’m thinking of getting it. Thank you very much.

Today, my HD and I went to lunch at my Neighboring restaurant, where we were longing to visit, but we’ve never been to. That café connected to a flower shop was very lovely, and there were a lot of visitors enjoying wonderful flowers and meals. We were guided to the second floor, where was a foreign book café. I was surprised there because we were allowed to read any books we want to. So, while waiting for our meals, I enjoyed looking for some attractive books. Lunch was also nice. I like this place. If time permits, I’d like to sit on a comfortable sofa, having a cup of tea and reading a lot. What a fantastic time!?

By the way, my family and I are leaving for Osaka this evening, and staying for a few days. So, I’ll skip writing for a while.

See you again. Have a nice holiday!

Dear friends,

It is Friday, May 2nd. Plum, thank you for your kind information about DVD player. I think I can watch through PC as Sunflower did.
I'm ashamed that I have to tell I couldn't watch. Today I gave a ride to my father. He is 82 years old living nextdoor with my mother. He belongs to the art club and wanted me to take him to the scenic place near Mizuho Park where other members gathered to draw a picture. He had a surgery for Keitui-suberi-syo more than 10 years ago. He's had a backache recentry, but he has a very positive attitude. If I were in his position, I might quit going out. Drawing a picture outdoor is a nice hobby. Let me write about Masa's husband, Nakayama Fukuzo. He
had ran for the election 10 times and was defeated 6 times. He was given a nickname, Hora-fukuzo because I think his vision was slipped for the future, I mean the ordinary people were not able to catch up with him. He spent a year in Borneo to help his uncle's gum plantation, so he was far-sighted.
Experiences of living in a foreign country surely provide us with a wider vision. Thank you.

Dear Cherry and friends,

Good evening. Almost time to go to bed.
I watched 3 episodes of Rosemary and Thyme. My DVD player is ok.
But mine is not region free. I can't watch DVD I got in Canada. That's region one. I don't understand this region difference.

Rosemary and Thyme are excellent stories. Gardens are beautiful. Quite impressive. One of the most interesting thing about this drama is all the people are suspicious or secretive, except Rosemary and Laura, their family, and police . I'm not a big mystery lover, but I enjoyed watching all the episodes very much. These gardeners are amazingly dexterous.

Thank you, Plum. You have good taste. I'll bring this back to you tomorrow.

Good night.

Hi, ladies!!!
It has been warm, very warm, like a summer day, hasn’t it?

This morning Alice and Noriko-san came to my house to discuss their study projects, and we had a fascinating time together. They left my place at around 3:30, probably, and after that I got a phone call from a friend of mine who is a philippina, and she said that she would like to have dinner together with me at an Italian restaurant. She is arriving at my place soon, my lovely friends.

So I will talk to you again tomorrow. Bye for now.

Dear Cherry and friends,

It is Saturday May 3rd. It was very warm. I had a 6.5 km hike in Kumano-kodo, the old path which is one of the world cultual heritages. The stone-paved path was mossy and moist, so some part of the hiking path is a little slippery. I'm exhausted, but I had a good time.

Dear Cherry and friends
This week is a so-called A Golden week and we have happily nice weather. It is just like early summer has already come. Hi, Peach, I have been to Kumano-kodo, too. It is a comfortable up-and-down path paved with stones and woods through forest. It is a deep spiritual healing place. But in spite of a fantastic image of the path, walking on the road for a long time is probably very tough job. I’ve heard that Kumano-kodo was a main road for daimyo-procession. I wonder how hard such a large group including horses kept on walking. Anyway, please enjoy nice holidays, friends.
See you again!

Hi, friends,

It is Sunday, May 4th. It was a very comfortable day. I woke up to find I had stiff muscles all over. Even thoufh, my daughter and I worked hard together to assembly a shelf with sliding lid, which had been waiting to be done. I like DIY work. She suffers a nasal inflammation, so tidying up her room is needed.

Hi, everyone!

I am much obliged to Plum.(This expression was used many times.)
I could see Bleak House. I was indulged in the story. I was in the Charles Dickens World, indeed, in which once I was enchanted. I could not stop seeing it. Sorry that I could enjoy it very much two weeks earlier than you. Great expectations!!

Hi ladies,

It's nice to be able to send mails again. Alice, thank you very much for helping me with the account restoration. After several vain trials, I finally got free from an abyss of puzzling computer pitfall. Let me call it a day. I'm tired. Good night, energetic people.

Hi, friends.

I was so busy taking care of my grandson because my son's family came to my house 4 consecutive days during this GW to fix his car in front of my house. Our garage became a garage literally. He had an act of self-caused injury and he wanted to fix his car by himself. He removed the hood ,which had a dent, but he made it smooth, polished and painted it again. While he and his wife were working hard, I was playing with their 3-year-old son. He is an interesting boy and I enjoyed playing with him, but finally I was exhausted.

Today I thought I was free, but my daughter brought her boyfriend and we went to Togokusan Fruitpark together, where I ate a 'Durian' for the first time.
Today they held a Fruit festival and served some tropical fruits and I heard ,"Durian smells bad, but it tastes good." So I wanted to try it once, but it was sooo distasteful. The white creamy fruit was served with dried crispy durian and ice cream of purple potato.
I could eat only a little of durian, but I ate the whole ice cream, which was good and they said it was 'KUCHINAOSHI'to cleanse my palate. No more Durian!
Does anyone like Durian?
