Power of memory

Hi, everyone!

Plum, unfortunately my DVD player was not work well when I put the DVD you lent me in it, just showing ‘different area code’ (?). I tried it on my PC, but there was a sign ‘it cannot be showed in Japan.’ Why not…? I think probably because of some different system. Please tell us a good idea to watch it.

Let me introduce more detail about how to increase our power of memory. On the program, a young man was trying to memorize some English words. He usually reads them silently, but he tried it while reading and speaking them loudly, listening to his own voice, and writing quickly. Dr. Mogi named this way ‘tsuruno ongaeshi anki-ho’, because doing things like that is so shameful that one should hide behind others. The biggest point was before writing. After he saw some English words to keep in mind, he had to write them without seeing those words. By doing that, those words could pass a certain area of his brain, which strengthen power of memory. Isn’t it interesting?

So, see you later. Bye!

Hi, ladies!!!

It is Thursday, May 1, 2008, today and it has been cloudy but warm, hasn’t it?

I am very sorry to hear that your DVD players could not accept Rosemary and Thyme, Peach and Cherry. Do you not have a region free DVD player? I have three DVD players, and all of them take the series. One of them is a YTO104, a region free DVD player I bought at Tsutaya. I suppose I paid around 4,000 yen. I checked the same type on the web and found various stores selling this type.

I will just put three stores’ sites and their prices, and so please take a look at these sites.

http://www.ichibankanshop.jp/product/p-1153.html

3, 850 yen

http://www.amazon.co.jp/YTO-104-DVDプレーヤー-据え置き型-コンパクトサイズ/dp/B00130KW5Y

3,400 yen

http://www.bidders.co.jp/item/99416873

3,500 yen

It seems that 3,400 yen is the cheapest price at the moment on the web. Of course, you can check more prices. You may find cheaper prices!!!

A region free DVD player is very convenient, isn’t it?

It seems that Azalea did not have any trouble with her DVD player, and now she has Bleak House, since she cannot make it on Sunday, 18th.

Today Azalea came to my place and we discussed her essay, which is 99% completed. I am very happy that she worked very hard on it, like everyone else.

Well, my husband is coming home soon, and I will prepare for dinner, my lovely friends. Have fun and be happy. Bye for now.

Hello, Cherry and my dear friends.

Today I enjoyed watching Rosemary & Thyme on PC, Windows Vista. I’m sorry I could not watch it on a DVD player linked on TV- Viera. First of all I watched “In a Monastery Garden”. I feel like I’m going to love this series. Sceneries are so beautiful. The scenes of an old cathedral and a garden made me feel just like I’m in England. British English was pleasant to my ears although it was very fast. But I don’t care. Main characters were marvelous. Their superb performance drove me crazy. Plum, thank you for the best entertainment series.
It would be more powerful to watch it on a DVD player, so I'd like to check the stores and prices you gave us. Thank you.

Hi, everyone.

Today, I visited Plum's house. As you know, I confirm that she is organized and impeccable different from my race. In my race, the person spents one third of life time to look for a lost thing and one third of the time with a thick head. I learnt how to strech out my body and the significance for my body by Plum. Needless to say, she made my essay 99% completed.
Thank you very much.

Hello, Cherry and friends
Hi, Cherry. I also watched the TV program about a brain. The talk by Dr. Mogi is always interesting. He looks like a very frank person with friendly charm rather than sharp intelligent scholar. But his theory is so persuasive that I am always convinced his rightness. I laughed at his “Turu no ongaeshi-hoshiki” which is the way I always mention about. I used to say to Azalea that my style is “please don’t see me weaving”. We laughed at the awkward style behind-the-scenes. Well, let’s become desperate cranes together, my beautiful friends. Good night.

Hi everyone,

Consulting a dictionary, besides a name of a bird, crane is also a verb to lean or stretch in order to see sth better. I thought the cranes are not so desparate creature. I'm sorry I missed the TV program. Thank you for writing about the program. I always enjoy watching 'Professional' by Mr. Mogi. As long as we write somethig meaningful, we prevent from being senile.

Today I went to Aichi Prefectual library for the first time in my life. It was a marvelous experience. I obtained a few newspaper article about Masa.
The people there are very nice!

In the morning I went to the Menard Art Museum in Komaki. Every work, most of which are done in the Meiji era is very impressive. Kotaro Takamura's wooden catfish and a turban are so real. I like going to the art museum. That museum is going to be closed for repairment till March after this Golden Week Holidays.
