HI, ladies!!
These days the season has been shifted back and forth so often that I can’t follow the change of temperature. Are you all right?
Plum, what a surprise, you have four grandchildren during the last two years!? You will become busier and busier as a good nanny.
Yesterday my husband and I went to a cellphone shop to change the model, because we had received a news that it would not be usable unless we change it within 3 months. We were very poor users of our cellphones, so we wanted to change them into the easiest and cheapest ones as soon as possible. But eventually it took almost 2 hours! Why is that gadget so rich in its variety and so complicated in its setup? It was terrible.
So, see you next. Good bye!

Hi, ladies!!!
How are you today?
It’s been windy and extremely cold today, hasn’t it?
Again, I made an article quiz for you and me.
I hope you enjoy trying your understanding of articles.
The answers are listed below the web article.
This article is from BBC Learning English.
Learning English with Obama
It's been described by its publishers as (1) huge hit in Japan – (2) compilation of the speeches of Barak Obama has sold well over 400,000 copies, and students at an English class in Tokyo are even memorising the new President's words to improve their own pronunciation and understanding.
CLIP English class
'On behalf of (3) great state of Illinois let me express my deepest gratitude for (4) privilege of addressing this convention.'
Barak Obama's message of (5) change has been well received in Japan where politics is often characterised by (6) grey figures and backroom deals. The clear language of the speeches makes them (7) obvious choice for teaching material. But the new President's words are said to hold particular appeal.

- Perseverance.
- Just practise like that.
It's from his personality, first of all. And also, his technique, his rhythm in English sound beautiful to the Japanese people who may not understand English well but still find his English as something they want to learn from.
And so, in shops across Japan the face of the new American President is a fixture on (8) bookshelves, as well as on (9) newsstands. And for students, (10) question of whether they'll succeed in improving their English can be answered - 'Yes we can'.

Hi,ladies,
It is March 3rd, sunny. How are you doing? Plum, how is your swallen cheek? You must be surprised to see it in the mirror. Please take care. Congratulations on your fourth grandchild's birth.
I imagine a mother and a baby surrouded with bunch of tulips, which looks like a symbol of happiness full of joy.
I cannot stop sneesing. After taking a medicine for hay fever, I feel drowsy...
I will go through this hardship!
I should go to bed earlier than usual because I will sneeze while sleepiing which may cause insomnia. Good night, my precious friends.
Hi, ladies!!!
It’s Tuesday, March 3, 2009 today. Winter weather came back and it’s been freezing cold all day, hasn’t it?
Peach, are you all right? I am very sorry to hear that you are suffering from hay fever and sneezing. A medicine for hay fever surely makes us drowsy. Have a good rest and get over this hay fever season.
I held an English composition seminar at TCLC, and 12 English learners came to attend the seminar (one of my TCLC students could not make it since she was not feeling well). Some NWSRG members were included, and I will list their names below.
Azalea
Cosmos
Alice
Sunflower
Violet
Cherry
This was my first seminar on English composition, but I did enjoy making English sentences and reading the creative writing by my audience.
Following the seminar, five of them and I went to a café on the 4th floor (Sunflower left soon after the end of the seminar), and discussed our essay projects (last ones and new ones) and the discussion meetings they had so far. Alice remarked that having discussion meetings was a good idea and she would like to have meetings again for her essay writing this year. So, she and Azalea suggested that they and Gloriosa should form a group because of their proximity. I thought that that was an excellent thought.
There will be two Nagoya groups. Perhaps we could talk about grouping when we meet at my house next time, my dear friends.
Talking about English compositions, I firmly thought we had to learn more about articles. There are, of course, a lot of other things we have to learn in order to improve our essay writing skills, but it is not so hard to learn more about how to use and not to use articles, I suppose. Azalea mentioned that she got 9 points on the other day’s quiz. It’s excellent!!! It’s fun to try your understanding of articles, isn’t? Maybe, you can try to make a quiz for us someday when you have time.
This is a new quiz I made for you and me. Try this, please, before going to bed tonight. It takes only 5 minutes. Just take it easy… Have fun!!!
