A series of happy events!

Finally your second grand-son came into the world, Plum.
Congratulations!!!
Since an unexpected event occurred, your all family must be surprised.
But it's nice their baby and Ulala-san are going well.
I rememberd my memory of delivery.
When I was in labor at a hospital, my father brought a lot of "onigiri"
with shake and tarako in it. ( Those tasted veeeery good!)
My mother couldn't come for her work, but I felt her love for me.
I hope your recovering from your fatigue, and new-born angel will get rid of your tiredness.

So, good night, Plum and friends.
See you!

At 7.30

Good afternoon, everyone!

Alice, I was also impressed with your thoughts
on young girls making up their faces in the train.
I don't care about such behavior, too.
There are many impolite acts now on public space,
such as spitting out phlegm, picking up one's teeth,
sitting down with one's legs apart, and so on.
I think people who blame girls' acts should also blame those acts.
Young people may just imitate their seniors,
or protect themselves against the outside world unconsciously.

Today is a special day for me.
At 7.30 five years ago, I determined to learn English in order to stand alone.
Since then I make a toast to myself at today every year.
I think I don't have to walk in a hurry, and only have to walk step by step.
Thanks to you, friends, I can enjoy my situation now.

So, good bye, and thank you.

A piano lesson

Hello, everyone.
How about your weekend?

My kids have piano lessons once a week, and a grade test was held today.
They have continued those lessons for about five years,
and have never said that they would stop them.
I think they are good girls, because I had a bitter experience
breaking off my piano lesson after only 3 months .
But I liked "soroban" lesson those days,
which lasted for 2 years until I started junior high school.
What one likes, one will do well. That may be true.

I also want to take lessons about something like the martial arts.
I need building up my body.

So, good bye, friends!

The Upper House election

Hi, everyone!

Tomorrow is the Upper House election day.
Our pension system, the constitutional amendment, and the consumption tax...
There are many problems we have to think about seriously.
I'm interested in a relation between an election and the Internet.
Though today is the Internet age, the election through the Net is falling behind.
Heavy users of the Net may fit young people who are indifferent to politics.
I think it's a good idea to adopt the Net into politics,
and a low turnout will be rising.
I also like TV wacthing after the election is over.
It is a exciting drama on TV, isn't it?

So, good bye, friends!

Feminist theories

Hi, everyone!
Today was a hottest day, wasn't it?!

Plum, I was moved by your very kind and detailed explanations.
I, of course, want to read your works about Marxist feminist theory.
Could you give me them by email after coming back?
Now, I printed out "Different Types of Feminist Theories".
It is interesting that 'there are as many definitions of feminism as there are feminists.'
Those theories seem difficult for me, but I'll try them.
Thank you for all your help.

Azalea, did you join the TIME reading group?
These days my TIME was stacked on my desk.
It is waste of money...

So, good night, friends!

Nagoya food

Hello, everyone!

I will continue from the last issue, UNAGI.
When I ate "Hitsumabushi" for the first time, I was very surprised.
It had a variety of taste and was large in quantity!
Since I couldn't eat them up at that time, I try to go UNAGI restaurant
with an empty stomach after that.
The taste of Nagoya food is pretty heavy, isn't it?
Miso-katsu, Tebasaki, and Miso-nikomi.
I think because of the hot weather, people like them.
Eating them may build lasting strength.
Seen from this point of view, most powerful dish must be ...Uzaku!

What kind of foods do you like?

Plum, you will be long in coming your grandchild, will you?
I hope Ulala-san's delivery will be comfortable.

So, good bye, see you!

A vinegar

Hello, friends!

Alice and Cosmos, thank you for your story about a vinegar.
They say that taste and ingredients help giving us a good appetite,
especially in hot summer.
Plum liquor may be nice, too.
In other days, a cooking expert came to my kids' school and gave a lecture.
He said a good wife must serve a vinegared dish for her husband every day.
In order to survive Nagoya's hot summer, I will take a lot of "sunomono."

Alice, I felt thankful for your encouragement.
I like "where there's a will, there's a way."
I'll try to keep going.

Sunflower, I was impressed by the life of Hatsu-san.
There are many women's history I didn't know.
We are allowed more freedom now than in old days.
But I was just wondering about my uncomfortableness.
I'd like to learn feminism so that I can feel comfortable and powerful feelings in my mind.

So, good bye, friends.

A baseball game

Hi, everyone!

I just came back from a baseball game at the Nagoya Dome, the Tigers vs. the Dragons.
My husband and I are enthusiastic fan of the Tigers and we have been there two times.
Today's game was a seesaw game and very exciting!
Since my kids were in the summer vacation, we could enjoy the game to the end.
The audience at the game were shouting, clapping, and stamping noisily all the time.
We also shouted "Go, go, Tigers!" and it was a good way to relieve our stress.
The result of the game was our victory, of course.

While I was writing this comment, the date changed.
It is difficult for me to write a substantial sentence.
I have to improve my English more and more...

So, good night and see you tomorrow.

Blue sky

Hello, everyone!
How are you, today?

Yesterday's session was very exciting for me,
so I became groggy today.
But my heart was refreshed just like as today's blue sky.
Photograph and video recording were all right.
I will show you those recording soon.

It is time to go to bed.
Good night, friends!

My memorable day

Thanks for all your hard work today!

We made a good job, didn't us?
There were some eager auduence at our session,
who took notes of a lecture, using their IC dictionary!
( they were all men.)

I'm happy to get a chance with you, friends.
Today became a best day of my life.
So, let's have a meeting to review our session next time!

good bye and good night!

At last tha day has come

Hello, friends!

Alice, Congratulations!!
We are very happy to hear good news for you,
and at just the day before our summer seminar.
That news encouraged me.
Thank you!

At last, the day has come.
When I went to the summer seminar last year,
I couldn't imagine such a day.
Plum, thanks to you all.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Let's enjoy our seminar!

So, friends,
see you tomorrow!

Summer holiday2

Hi, everyone!

Today my kids' school has over.
At last a long summer vacation starts from tomorrow.
It makes me tired, but I will try to enjoy it with kids.
Do you have any nice plan this summer?
I have some. That will be a good gift for me.

By the way, do you like a highland or a seafront in summer?
When I was a young girl, I loved the sea.
But these days I don't want to go there so much.
Is it because of my age?
Maybe.
Here in Nagoya, there are many summer resorts nearby.
Since I have never been Gihu, I want to go sightseeing there in autumn.

So, see you, friends!

Summer holiday

Good afternoon, friends!

Alice, I was interested in a painless childbirth.
In Japan it seems very rare.
Why is it common inCanada or USA?
If my doctor had given that method, I could have chosen it.
"Midwife" is a new word for me.
Thank you, Alice.

My summer holiday starts tomorrow and I feel relieved now.
When I began my work six months ago, I recognized a new fact.
Words of thanks. It must encourage me.
In my household, we hardly say 'thank you' from our heart each other.
I think it is my failure.
Thank you so much, friends, and my family.

See you, tomorrow!

High school girls

Hello, everyone!
Let's start our second month!

These days I go to work by a subway.
There are so many commuters that I am tired everyday.
By the way, I have one question about high school girls.
They are chatting at a station and going upstairs.
Every girl is climbing the stairs with her hand holding down
the back of her miniskirt.
Why their skirts are so short?!
Those fluttering seem very temptingly for men.
If my kids put on such skirts, I will worry about.
When I was a young girl, very long skirt was cool.
Is it a fashion?

So, good bye, friends!

One month has passed

Hello , everyone!

One month has passed since our blog started.
It was a rather hard work for me to write a comment every day.

Last year, I tried my own English blog,
but gave it up 30 days later.
But on this blog, there were many warm responses.
Thanks to you, I will keep on writing.
I have to write correct English.
Thank you very much, friends!
See you, good night.

An earthquake

Hello, friends!

There was an earthquake this morning in Nigata.
It always remind me of the Great Hanshin Earthquake twelve years ago.
Just at that moment, I was in bed at my parents' home in Osaka.
Suddenly a floor was shaking up and down heavily, and it continued for a long time!
I couldn't do anything but covered the head with my futon in darkness.
I heard what sounded like glass being broken.( It was a cupboard.)

Fortunately, my house was all right but household goods were pretty broken.
Osaka had little damage by the earthquake, and Kobe was affected a severe damage.
I fear the Great Tokai Earthquake in the near future.
Providing is preventing. We should prepare for an emergency kit.

A long holiday is over. Did you enjoy, friends?
So, see you, good bye!

A typhoon has passed

Hi, friends!
How wonderful a blue sky after a typhoon has passed was!

Alice, I am always impressed by your lively writings.
I must have made many mistakes in my writings,
but I couldn't check them out.
For a long time, I don't go a restaurant or a bar with friends at night .
So, I dream of enjoying a night life(!). Is it funny?

Plum, I'm happy to meet your comment!
How are you?!
I'm keeping to write EVERY DAY!
Please enjoy your blessed time with your family,
and especially with your angel.

So, see you, tomorrow!

People in Nagoya

Hello, friends!

I was transfered there about 2 years ago from Osaka,
and I become familiar these days.
I don't like hot summer in Nagoya,
but People who I met with were always nice.

Sunflower, you must have had many good memories at Osaka and Kobe.
I also love my hometown, but only recently I have realized this.
Osaka has a strong personality, right or wrong.
Nagoya may be a steady and gentle city.
How about you, friends?

There was a strong wind coming up.
Please take care, and good bye, everyone!

A typhoon

Hi, friends!

Welcome to our blog, Gloriosa, nice to meet you.
Could you come to our session at 7.22?
I'm new comer with this session, so I feel nervous just a little.

Sunflower, I hope you will enjoy your trip to Kamikochi.
And I was impressed your presentation the other day.
You are already open-minded and natural.
It may be very difficult for me.
I hope to enjoy my speech.

Cosmos, I also don't like a campaign car.
It is very noisy and useless, isn't it?
They don't know our intelligence.

I don't have any plan in this weekend,
and a typhoon is coming.
Anyway, let's enjoy, friends.
See you tomorrow !

An election

Hi! friends!

Today, an announcement of the Upper House was made.
I'm interested in Japanese politics, but also disappointed that
the young don't go to vote.
Since I started to learn about Japanese politics these days,
I wonder how the politics become more enjoyable for us.

I recommend a TV program, "Ota sori to hisyo Tanaka."
It is very entertaining but thoughtful.
I think it's cool that an entertainer says his or her mind about politics.
Some people say they don't like such remarks,
but anyone can talk to public.
I hope more interesting politics.

So, see you tomorrow!

I am happy to hear many good news.
The birth of Plum's grandchild, and
the marriage of Sunflower's son.
Congratulations!
How wonderful new family members are!

Thanks to our blog, I knew your favorites,
of movies, comics, or hoods.
When I read them, I want to try them.
After our Summer Seminar, I'm going to do many things!

Thank you, see you!

The method of comics

Hi, everyone!

About comics, we have many things to talk together, don't we?
In the old days, adults used to criticize comics.
But these days, a minister praise "Gorugo 13".
In my kid's textbook, there was "the method of comics,"
which study with student's favorite comics.
It is unbelievable!

Sunflower, your writings was so charming that I wanted to eat Rucola.

So, It is time to end.
Bye, everyone!

Fresh pasta

Hi, everyone!

Today, I had a fresh pasta with my friend from work at Kanayama.
I ate a cream fettuccine with selmon and mushroom and a tiramisu.
Everything tasted great.
I love Italian food, but I can't cook them well.
I hope to cook some Italian food by myself.

Azalea, could you enjoy your trip to Awajishima?
I also like Tezuka. He is a king of comics!

Alice, you are very busy and powerful.
I hope you win the Eiken.

It is about time for dinner.
Good bye, see you!

About a comic book

Hello, everyone!

Peach, welcome to our blog!
Did you change your blog name?
I may confuse.

What kind of comics did you read?
I used to read a girl's comic when I was a little girl.
But I don't have a chance to read them now.
The other day, I picked up a boy's comic unintentionally in a library.
After that, I couldn't stop to read that comic, which was a thirteen-volume comic.
I had never read such an amazing comic.
That title was "The monster" by Naoki Urasawa.
I realized that Japanese comics have made great progress,
and became NO.1 in the world.
What comics does your son read these days?

It is not so hot today, isn't it?
So, good bye everyone!

About movies, continued

Hello, everyone!

Magnolia, welcome back again!
Your point of view about "Thelma" was very interesting for me.
That end was so sad that it showed impossibility of woman's dream.
But I also felt freedom at that time. I can't explain why.
I knew it was Brad Pitt's impressive debut movie.
There was already his sly but charming character in the movie.

Plum, I usually go to a movie by myself.
But it is just because I don't have a chance.
Going to movie with someone must be more pleasant, mustn't it?

Alice, Susan Salandon(?) acted the role of Louise.
She is very smart and cool.
"Maiko haaaan" seems very funny, and I'm also waiting for your comment.

It is time to end.
See you, tomorrow!

Movies, again

Hi, everyone!
How are you today?

Plum, I didn't think you liked such war movies.
I have seen Tess, The great escape, and The deer huntar.
I was also impressed with The deer huntar.
I forgot some details, but can remind the beautifil and melancholic music.
For me, speaking of a war movie, it is Schindler's List.

My favorite one is Thelma & Louise, directed by Ridory Scott.(spelling is not correct)
Come to think about it, I was interested in gendar issues from that time.
When the movie finished, I broke into tears.
I couldn't why, but felt comfortable.
I 'd like to think about what it is.

So, see you tomorrow!

The movie "Campaign"

Hello, everyone!

Today I went to the movie titled "Campaign"(senkyo).
I had been waiting for this movie, which gives a very good picture
of the Japanese election style.
This movie is a documentary film, with no narration, no music, and no explanation.

When I came into the theater, there were many women to see it.
Though it took two hours, the movie had ended before you knew it.
This movie is very popular at foreign countries now.
I also enjoyed it and recommend you.

What kind of movie do you like?
Please teach me good one.

Thank you, members!
See you.

Hair straightening

Hello, everyone!

Cosmos, welcome to our blog!
I'm sorry for your struggling to come here.

I tried hair straightening (syukumo-kyosei) today.
My hair was so twisted that I couldn't control my style,
specially in such a rainy season.
Now I had a smooth touch and felt good.
I hope to keeping this condition until our seminar.

So, see you again!

Oh! metabolic syndrome

Hi! Everyone!

I sympathized with Plum's talk about metabo.
My husband is also incipient diabetics.
When I married him twelve years ago,
he was very slim and cool. (me, too)
Because at that time he succeeded with a hard diet
and lost about 20 kg!
But time went by.
Now he put on weight 30 kg steadily.
Yes, it is due to his DNA.

Alice, you had a good job for your father.
I'm looking forward to seeing you 3 weeks later.

So, see you tomorrow.

I must be hungry

Hello, everyone!

Yesterday's meeting was very exciting for me.
From today, I will post this blog everyday.
And some day I will buy a land in a foreign country(?).
It's my dream.

By the way, I went to a seminar few days ago.
It was for an art of self-defense called "WEN-DO."
It was like as an AIKI-DO, but easier than that.
I felt like become strong little bit that day.
I have two daughters and I am afraid of every accident these days.
So I have to teach them that art of self-defense.

It is so hot today.
Please take care,
and good bye!
