I must be hungry

Hello, everyone!

Yesterday's meeting was very exciting for me.
From today, I will post this blog everyday.
And some day I will buy a land in a foreign country(?).
It's my dream.

By the way, I went to a seminar few days ago.
It was for an art of self-defense called "WEN-DO."
It was like as an AIKI-DO, but easier than that.
I felt like become strong little bit that day.
I have two daughters and I am afraid of every accident these days.
So I have to teach them that art of self-defense.

It is so hot today.
Please take care,
and good bye!

Hi, Cherry!

Great! You will get some muscle, soon. When I catch a cold, I always feel guilty for not doing exercise regularly.

Last week, I was extremely busy, because my father was in the hospital. I needed to substituted for him. He was not very ill. He had his right eye operated. The operation was a bit more complicated than cataract. I can't tell the name of the disease. It's just long. He had to go to the hospital in Nagoya.

After he first visited the hospital, he was told to bring his family. We wondered if his eye was seriously bad. Later, we found that it was just a part of the procedure. So Mother went to the hospital with him.

I asked my mother where the hospital is. It's near Kamiiida station on Kamiiida line. It's a subway station. We argued over the station since I hadn't heard the name. I insisted that there was not such a subway line called Kamiiida line.
But, I was wrong. I checked the subway map and found it. The Kamiiida line is the shortest subway line in Nagoya, and it has only one stop from Heiandori.
It's interesting.

Today, my father was back and my ordinary days returned safely.

Have a good evening.

Hi, everyone!!!
How did you spend the first Monday of July? Yes, it is July now. Time flies so quickly.

I cut quite a big sweet potato to 4 pieces and steamed them for my afternoon tea. I used to smash steamed sweet potato, put some sugar and cream and baked sweet potato cakes, but not now any more. Because I have to pay more attention to my health so that I would not suffer from metabolic syndrome. My husband wears tons of fat around his tummy but he doesn’t care about it at all. His parents were quite obese and it appears that he has inherited strong obesity genes from them. Not only I but also my children attempted thousands times to make him understand how dangerous obesity was. But he never listened to us.

So I ate the sweet potato without any sugar or cream. Soon I’m gonna leave for Sydney and will not be able to eat such a delicious sweet potato I had today. I tried almost all varieties of sweet potatoes in Australia and New Zealand, but I could not find potatoes as sweet and flavorous as Japanese ones. Their sweet potatoes were just bland and tasted awful. I am very grateful to the Japanese agricultural experts of the past, who are unknown to me, for their excellent efforts to improve the taste of Japanese sweet potatoes so as to produce such flavorful ones, which are now easily available at vege shops here and there. (My elder sister said that she ate sweet potatoes almost every day during the war time but they did not taste as good as the present ones.)

Dietary fiber is proved to be very important for our health and helps to prevent metabolic syndrome from developing, and we are recommended to have food which is high in fiber, but again my husband never wants to learn about it. He likes fatty food, and there is no way to save him. I just let him eat whatever he wants to eat, though I know they are really damaging his health. Am I a bad wife?

I’ll go to work tomorrow. So I will go to bed earlier than last night.
Good night, my friends.

P. S.
Alice, it’s good that your father is now back home.
Cherry, that’s a wonderful decision. Write in this blog EVERY DAY. I read your message every day. Just let me know when you feel very comfortable about writing.

Good evening, everyone.

Cherry, I thank you for your determination, and when you buy a house abroad, let me visit your house. Thank you!!

I feel relief at the news from Alice. If one of family members is hospitalized, rest of the family lives in unease. I suppose you were restless.

Sunflower, I can imagine your peach tree in your garden. I can imagine your joy. That is God bless you.

In order to be young, I have to eat sweet potatos,Plum.
I like ''Ikinaridango'' which looks like Oyaki staffed with big steamed sweet potato and red bean jam. As just I ate them, Higashikokubaru was elected as a Miyazaki governer. He appeared many times on TV. Then when I told my friend about the sweet, I said ''Sonomammadango''.
My friend said 'I have not ever heared the name.' I don't know if the sweet name exists.

In my yard, I saw Mamushi' baby, a venomous snake. Terrible. My husband said 'Why don't you stampt it?' Can you do it? I don't think so.
