I used to read a girl's comic when I was a little girl.
But I don't have a chance to read them now.
The other day, I picked up a boy's comic unintentionally in a library.
After that, I couldn't stop to read that comic, which was a thirteen-volume comic.
I had never read such an amazing comic.
That title was "The monster" by Naoki Urasawa.
I realized that Japanese comics have made great progress,
and became NO.1 in the world.

I went to Awaji island which is the third largest in Japan. This explanaition is written in a guide book, but it's strange for me, because Hokkaido, Honsyu, etc are also islands.
You can go there by car without using a ship. However, you must pay about 2,500 yen when you cross only the bridge in single way, if you return, you must pay 2,500 yen more. Now Awaji citizens launched the campaign calling for reducing the charge. It's expensive. If you go to Awaji island, would you sign the petition?

I had to translate an article about Chinese industries. Yesterday was the due date. I translated it from English to Japanese. A professor at Aichi University introduced me to this job. I got to know the professor when I was involved in a project titled "Main Session" of the conference, "Cultural Typhoon."
Aichi University has a research institute for Chinese Studies. This institute publishes papers both in English and Japanese. This is my first experience of formal translation. English itself was not difficult, but it was hard to choose Japanese words appropriate for academic publications. It definitely revealed my lack of Japanese vocabulary.
I have another topic today. Plum might be turned off because you have heard this since last year, but I have to confess this here again. Today, I went to the Nunoike Language School beside the Nunoike Church to take ANOTHER oral examination of Test in Practical English Proficiency (Eiken). This is my third trial. I started doing this last year. So I got accustomed to the process of the examination. Good thing about getting used to things is that we don't have to suffer from stage fright. I didn't have butterflies in my stomach when I was interviewed. Although I was relaxed today, I could not speak well AGAIN. Every time I do this, I feel guilty because it is like I'm throwing money. I know I should practice speaking English more.

P.S. Azalea, I like Tezuka, too. I bought a comic book by Tezuka the other day. It's Dororo. I went Tezuka museum in Takarazuka some months ago. It was holding the special exhibition of Dororo at that time. The film "Dororo" was released soon after that. I saw the movie but the film ends halfway. I want to find how Tezuka ended the story.
