Hi, everyone!
These days I feel like this crazy late summer doesn't end forever...
Alice, thank you for telling me about the short story.
While I cooked our curry last night, I only felt good smell and spicy flavor.
I haven't read the author's works, but your introduction about Indian women cutting many vegetables sounds dreamy.
The traditional foods may cause something special for people,
and good cooker could create her/his special story with those.
I have more 1 week of summer vacation with kids, and miss my lonely days.
I hope all of you enjoy this late summer.
Good bye, and see you.

Hi, everyone!!!
How is everything going?
I am deeply sorry to hear that it is still extremely humid and hot in Japan. It is very hard, I know, to live in the continuous heat and humidity. I grew up without the civilizational benefit of an air-conditioner, a fridge, or even an electric fan, in a place where the weather was terrible in summer, but once I got used to what made me comfortable, life without it got so unbearable to me. That was only some decades ago. I sweated, sweated and sweated every day under the scorching sun. Where have those days gone?
I belonged to the volleyball club, and practiced, of course, outside, under the firing heat, and everyone got so red, and we couldn’t hear anything but cicadas screaming, since we got, sort of, grilled and could not give any voice. We were silenced by the heat. That was only some decades ago.
August in Sydney is absolutely comfortable, compared to that in Japan. But I miss the heat and would like to go home as soon as possible.
Thank you for reading my message, my dear friends. Still I am doing OK, and so please do not worry about me. Hope you were fine and happy this weekend. Goodnight…
