Hi, everyone!
Plum, I'm also happy to hear that you could watch DVD,
holding Yujin-kun on your lap!
I've not read Kazuo Ishiguro's novels, but I have his 'When we were orphans,'
which was given at a library.
I'll try it someday.
(I read The mother by Pearl Buck, but I can't remember the details of it...)
It is very fantastic that we can read about one's favorite writers, isn't it?
I also like Miyuki Miyabe, especially her crime novels.
As for crime novels, my favorite writer is Natsuo Kirino.
Her works always depict frightening and disgusting crimes,
but I can't stop reading those to the end.
The reason why is, I think, that she is richly talented female writer to picture the innermost feelings of women, who might exist anywhere in the world.
My first Kirino was 'Yawarakana hoho', which got the Naoki Prize.
Today is the first of September, and I'm waiting for meeting all of you.
So, see you later, dear friends.

Hi, friend,
The soft breeze touches my cheeks, which tells me the arrival of autum.
I hope everyone is in good shape. Cooling air sometimes cause physical disorder.
Crissant issued August25th is very good. It introduced so much information about keeping fit. The problem is whether l can continue. If you are interested, let me know.
I went to Guam from Aug.20 to 23. It was just one day after Naha airplane disaster.
We had a good time in Guam. At the airport I was stopped because I had 120cc bottle of sunscreen and was asked to put it into 100cc bottle or throw it away. It must be within 100cc. I was ashamed.
We joined snorkeling activity wearing special swim suits. My son said the variety of fish is less than that in Tenian. We went there 6 year ago. I was satisfied , though.
Every Wednesday night there is a local festival in Charomo Village. They sell local foods and crafts, have dancing, band…I bought grilled fish whose taste is like seabream. We took it to the hotel room. It was so delicious
We didn’t dine in a gorgious restaurant. The homemade Cheeseburgar we ate at the seaside is so delicious. ‘One of the most delicious cheeseburgar in the world,’ they said. Takuya Kimura, a member of SMAP ate it , too.
One of my favorite writers is Pearl Buch. Plum translated ‘Mother’ . I was so interested in it and decided to read her other works more than ten year ago (Time flies!). I like Daichi, the earth, too.
Plum, you said you are interested in prewar life.( Am I right?) I feel I’d like to know what the life was like. When I went to Saipan, the local taxi driver said in the prewar Saipan was in peace with many Japanese who taught them agriculture. He told how the U.S. damaged their land spraying strong defoliant. The era reigned by Spain was not in peace, either. What makes Guam and Saipan different country ?,
Thank you for reading.
