The last day of September

Hi, everyone!

Sunflower, Magnolia, I expect you are enjoying good trips in Sendai, or Karuizawa by now. I hope other members also have a nice weekend.

Today is the last day of September, and I feel a soft, misty rain is just a gift from autumn. We will have sanma for tonight’s supper, which may be a symbol of the harvest season.

So, I have to prepare it now. I will talk to you tomorrow, good bye!

Hi, everyone!!!
It is Sunday today, but it is a very quiet Sunday since it has been rainy all day.

Sunflower and Magnolia are in Sendai and Karuizawa, respectively, now. They are surely having a wonderful time in those places, while I have stayed at home all day, listening to the sound of the rain, which has been comforting and consoling me, an arthritis sufferer, it seems.

Since I got this disease, I have made a few of changes to my house and my lifestyle. Now I am thinking of replacing my gas cooktop with a new one. I saw a very nice one, probably a Miele, in Sydney. I am not so satisfied with my present cooktop, which is 20 years old. Also it does not properly work sometimes, and maybe it is almost the time to get a new one, I guess.

Although I just stayed at home all day, I was quite busy, because I had to make a sunshade. My lounge has got two big windows almost facing the west and there is nearly nothing to interrupt sunlight, and so, in the late afternoon, especially in summer, we get strong sunlight until sunset. To cover up afternoon sunlight from the west, I had to make a sunshade. It took the whole morning, and, in the afternoon, I read my students’ writings, as usual. It’s good to keep myself busy; otherwise I have to find something to do.

I hope everyone is happily busy and having a fantastic time. I will talk to you again tomorrow. Bye for now, my precious friends.

Hi, everyone.

Today, I know again I am very ignorant. Laugh at me. I learnt the differnce between sex and gender very today. I understand the reason why I like dinosaurs.

My reading pace is tremendously slow. Oh, miserable. I find many words which I have thought to know,
but meaning is inconsistent.
I can't find the apporopriate Japanese words to them. It is perhaps that I am ignorant or I face a new sphere. I had to look up words in a dictionary, which I would like to avoid. It increases frustrations. However, I can't suppose or strike on equivalent of the words.

I suppose the low pressure makes people sick.
