Alice, I don’t know how many horrible acts of human beings now exist around the world. It seems that many of those arise from a religious difference. I have no idea about Islam and Christianity, but some Japanese think these monotheistic religions might cause a lot of historical wars.
Plum, I didn’t know about Mrs. Webb at all, and so it is fantastic to learn such interesting story.
It’s the last day of January today. When I think of the start of the next month, I am relieved because I quit my job yesterday. At the beginning of this year, I had considered about the order of priority in my life. One person said that it is important in deciding something new that we have to end something valuable instead. I really understood the priority and decided to quit. Now I’d like to do reading, listening, writing and speaking English as much as I can. My resources are time.

I took a look at a picture of Beatrice Webb. It is good to see a picture to imagine someone's life.
Next Wednesday is a deadline for submitting our master's theses.
My teacher checked mine and gave it to me two days ago. I have to add some explanation. We don't use ordinary word processor like Microsoft Word when we write. Since most of us use a lot of mathematical formulae, we use a special DTP(desktop publishing) software called LaTex, which we pronounce “latef.” This is very convenient to write formulae with such as fractions and subscripts. And it's a free software with a function to convert files to a pdf file format. Sorry, I guess, I'm making you bored.

This year, even in winter, I appreciate many kinds of birds such as white-eyes, bush warbler, shrike , various kinds of wild ducks. I observed a tit in my yard for the first time. I enjoy their twittering. Sometimes they twitter and chirp vigorously early morning.
Strangely enough, I am not upset even if they make me awakened. Rather they get me to be happy. Wonder of nature. Thanks to nature.
