I just hope you will expose yourself to English, in any fashion you like, such as reading or listening, for at least ten hours a day…so that you will learn the language very quickly.
AT LEAST TEN HOURS A DAY… really…?
At first I was nervous about it, but I’ve just made up my mind to try it. I can use my ten hours every week day until the spring holidays start. I will expose myself to English for about 50 hours a week, 200 hours a month. It will be my biggest challenge.

I thought that post means announce. But the headline of this article said “Bottled water imports post fourfold increase in 10 years.”
I post the article again:
The Yokohama customs authorities announced that bottled water imports surged by 35 percent from the previous year to 550-thousand kiloliters, posting a fourfold increase in 10 years.
In this case, I don’t think we say “Bottled water imports announced a fourfold increase in 10 years.”
As post means "to gain recognition for a score or performance" (Webster's Unabridged),"mark" or "show" could be substituted for the word "post". My understanding is “indicate” or “reveal” would have the same meanings as post.
Today we visited Agricultural Center near Hirabari to expect to view plenty of plum blossoms. But they didn’t look ready to open. We have to wait another ten days or so to enjoy beautiful full bloom. I'll visit next month.

My thesaurus dictionary says that “record” means “show”, “indicate” and “ mark”. Therefore we could substitute “show”, “indicate”, and “mark” for the word “post” without changing the meaning.
Thanks to you all, I’ve learned the usage of ‘post’.

Hello. How are you?
It was windy this afternoon. Is it so in Nagoya?
I went to Aichi university today. Toyohashi Joseigaku Kenkyukai held a meeting in the school library. We have a few meetings a year. Today's topic is housework. One of the member chose some articles and summarized them. We discussed it later. The writer of the article investigated the relationship between women's housework and their job. According to her, the time a woman spends doing housework changes depending on how much work she does to earn money. It sounded natural to me, but she writes that this is a particular characteristic of contemporary Japanese women. Western women don't either increase nor decrease housework hours whether they work out or stay at home. She discusses a lot of aspects of housework and dreams such society in which more women can have a career rather than devoting themselves to housewifery. Since I recently feel like to become a housewife, such opinions sound intimidating the social status of housewives. This researcher also insisted that we should change our daily life. On this point, I agree with her. I'm pessimistic about the drastic change of society as a whole. But maybe each of us can change our own life by negotiating with people close to us. Governmental or social support comes very slowly even if we need it desperately at this moment. So it's not as helpful as support we can get from family and friends.
Let me change the subject. I usually use OpenOffice.org Writer before posting a comment on Cherry's blog. OpenOffice.org is a complete alternative of Microsoft Office suite and it includes even presentation software that works exactly like PowerPoint. I prefer to OpenOffice.org Writer to Microsoft Word(MW) because when I copy and paste quotation marks MW always show them in Japanese character code which makes them bigger. I don't like the symptom. Therefore I use OpenOffice.org Writer.
I always use the same document file which I made on the day Cherry started the blog in June. Now I'm editing the 100th page because I left all the messages that I have posted. It's quite a masterpiece. Just ignore the self-admiration.
