Hi, everyone!
This morning I made a mistake. I usually get up at 6 a.m., but it was 7:30 when my daughter came to shake me up. Children should leave for school at 7:50, and all of us panicked for a second. We meant to hurry up with everything, and they were just in time. I felt relieved about it. ‘In spring one sleeps a sleep that knows no dawn.’
I am too lazy to do gardening, and I envy you, Sunflower. I like raspberry. Speaking of plants, I have caused to bloom little viola on the veranda since this winter, because tending them are very easy. Just water and sunshine make them grow.
So, see you tomorrow. Good night.

Dear Cherry and friends,
In spring one sleeps a sleep that knows no dawn.
When I said this to my sister the other day, she asked, “Do you? Only in spring?” Ouch!
My today's topic is about memories of the most distant past.
How far can your memory go back?
You know, I met small children in Osaka last month. When I was talking with the younger one who is 3 years old, I asked if she remembered she was born. She said, “Yes.” “How was inside your mom's belly?” I asked her. She immediately answered, “It was dark.” I believe she was telling this not from her imagination but from her memory.
Most people forget how we were born, but how far can our memory reach back? I was asked this question from an American lady. This is a sort of psychological test.
My answer is the time when I was seeing a brochure of a kindergarten in futon. In those days my mother stroked my back every day. I was spoiled. I know. At that night, too, she was stroking my back and I was seeing the picture of the kindergarten in the brochure. The lady gave me the second question. “How was your feeling at that moment?”
I answered, “I was excited because I was entering the kindergarten.”
Then, she told me, “Look at you. You are feeling exactly the same now.”
It was true. When we had this conversation, I had already decided to enter the college in Canada. That's why I was excited about the new start at the school.
I tried asking some people the same questions and found our most distant memories often tell us how we are feeling now. Why don't you try this psychological test?
It's raining outside. Hope it will be fine tomorrow.
Good night.
Hello, friends.
My initial memory started when I was 3 years old. My grand mother used to read some folk tales every night until I fell asleep. As I had some favorite stories like Kaguyahime and Momotaro, I really wanted to show these books to others and share the feelings.
There was a shoeshop in front of my house when it sold Zori and Geta instead of shoes. I made a good friend with the shop-owner who was an elderly man, sitting inside the shop everyday. So I visited sometimes and let him listen to my story.
One day he came to see my mom and said that your daughter could read a book upside down, which surprised my mom but at that time I couldn't read it yet actually. I just remembered the content because my grandma repeated it again and again every night as I asked her to do so.
So I could told the story from the opposite side without seeing the words while he was seeing them.
Maybe it is my first memory.
Hi, ladies!!!
How are you doing?
I read messages written by Cherry and Alice, and I just laughed to myself. Both of them are fairly lovely and fascinating, aren’t they? It is brilliant to know that you are enjoying your lives, Cherry and Alice.
When I was, probably, three years old, I fell off a branch of a tree at the shrine near my house, and possibly I fainted. When I came to myself, I was in futon and my mother and sisters were looking down at me. That is one of my most distant memories. Actually I recollect that I fell off the iron bar, not just once, but more than that…a few times, maybe. How about you, everyone? Have you ever fallen off the iron bar?
I also recall that I fell over on the elevator when I was a child. I always thought that being a child was hard work and also cruel and miserable. Perhaps you would not think that way, but…whenever I watch small children in destitute countries on the TV news program, I just sigh, thinking to myself that they have a long way to go… How about you?
Tomorrow I will proofread and edit Azalea’s essay, and send it back to her as soon as I finish.
I will go back to my work, my precious friends. Hope you are having a delightful time at the moment. It is 4:30 pm on Thursday, by the way. Talk to you tomorrow…
I also enjoyed your story, Magnolia. Thank you for letting us know your funny memory.
Dear Cherry and friends,
It is Thursday,April 10. It is raining and slightly cold. The psychology test Alice told us about is really interesting. I try to remember the good one.
Today's place or spot I'd like to mention about is "toe". I believe that toe is a key place for the unfavorable uncomfortable conditions or symptom such as poor circulation, indigestion and stumbling. For poor circulation, if you press between the third and fourth with your fingers, you can ease your coldness and indigestion. If you stand on the toes and keep for a few minutes, your legs can be so well trained that they can support and balance your body more easily. Those are only what I believe in.
Hello, Cherry and friends
April is a starting season filled with delightful hope in Japan, new teacher and new classmates for kids and students. We also can see many new fresh persons starting to work in town. Seeing them is refreshing me and I missed my old days, “oh, I had had such young days, too”. Their nervous faces is expressing that they are not accustomed with formal suits and norm for adults.
However, I found a strange trend of today’s fresh persons. Their seemingly new suits are almost all black as if they wore uniforms, irrespectively of gender. Why black?
I’d like for these fresh workers to put on more beautiful colors. I wonder they are in mourning, feeling sorry for the end of extravagant leisure time.
By the way, Alice, I felt very interesting the topic about the first memory in life. Next time, I try to remember my oldest memory. Today I’ll wrap it up. Good night, friends.
Hi, ladies!!!
How are doing? Is everything OK with you?
For the past few nights, the window in my bedroom was half open, which was not my intention but I just forgot to close it, while I was asleep, and I caught a cold. I felt chilly, sneezed and coughed all day for the past few days. But I had a lot to things to do and so I could not stay in bed all day, and therefore I wore layers of thick jackets just like in the middle of winter.
Yesterday, which was a Saturday, as on usual Saturday, I went grocery shopping with my husband and I got some medicine for my cold. Thanks to the medicine and it seems I am recovering from the cold. Whew…, I am saved.
This month I started to go to the gym. To do some exercise at the gym paying money is the first experience in my life. I always thought that I would never go to the gym, but I have changed my mind, and I am very happy about it.
Well, I will go back to my work, my lovely friends. I will talk to you tomorrow. Have a fascinating Sunday. Bye…
Dear Cherry and friends,
It is April 13. It is raining now.
Again, I did not write in this blog !!I really regret it.
How are you feeling, Plum? I hope you are feeling much better recovering from cold.
Today's place I'd like to write about is a pet shop. I like watching small animals. When I have a chance to see them, I never miss seeing them. The newly born birds, cats and dogs are so cute, and just seeing them make me feel happy and relaxing. One time I felt really sorry for a dog which hadn't found an owner. He was so called the unsold and the price tag for him was rewrittena a few times. In such a case I need an effort to keep back.
Today my family are all very happy because we have a new family member, a hamster. My daughter has wanted to have a pet for about a month, so my HD, DT and I went to a pet shop. We had a hard time choosing because all small animals were so cute. A hamster could be an idol in our house. Thank you.
Hello, friends.
Plum, I'm glad to hear that you are happy as a member of the gym.
I wonder what kinds of exercises you choose. I have less time to go to gym these days, but when I have a chance to go there I do yoga and stretch, ball exercise or pole lessons which are good to stretch my back mainly.
I've been a member of the gym for almost 10 years and when I joined the Nippon Athletic Sports club (NAS), I used to do at least 2 lessons of aerobics a day. Oh, it was good old days when I was young.
Now I just take one lesson or take a sauna bath only. I should go more to keep me fit because I know that many members of over 70 years old have more flexible body than me.
Hello, Cherry and my dear friends.
It’s April 14th. It stopped raining and it is fine this morning.
Have you ever thought about “lineage of marine life”? For example, if you eat big fish such as tunas, you’re eating the history of them, which means that they had survived by eating various kinds of smaller fish such as sardines and mackerel. Those smaller fish had also been eating more tiny fish and the plankton. This is called food-chain.
The Lineage of marine life is just like the lineage of our lives. We are born from our parents, who have their own parents. We were not born in this world if one of them was missing in the linage. We had linkage with our ancestors.
