Hi, everyone!
I’ve found an interesting news article on the Net:
The new Spanish cabinet, sworn in by the socialist Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, has nine women alongside eight men, including Spain's first woman Defense minister, Carme Chacon, and its youngest-ever cabinet minister, the 31-year-old minister for equality, Bibiana Aido.
The same news with a photograph is also in the Asahi newspaper this morning. It’s amazing that more than half the cabinet members are women, including a pregnant woman. (She is appointed as the minister of defense!) I wonder how these drastic measures could work well in Spain.
I usually have my shoulder massaged by my younger daughter. She has been good at massaging since early times, and I’m always relieved while she is doing it with her small fingers. It is strange that she seems to get a certain point easily, though I have never taught her how to do. She is a handy person, and wants to be a patissier. I’ll recommend her to be a massager. By the way, I didn’t know the word ‘slope’ meaning sloping shoulders, nadegata. So, don’t Western women have stiff shoulders very much? Because my square ones, I may have mild stiff on my shoulders.
So, see you later, good bye.

Hello, Cherry and my dear friends.
It's Thursday. I's been rainging all day long. I stayed at home and was doing my own job, while my DH was doing his own job in each seperate room except having lunch and supper together.
Today I'd like to write about Captain Cook and Aborigines in Australia.
Captain Cook is considered one of the world’s greatest explores.
James Cook was born in 1728 in Britain. He commanded three voyages of discovery for Great Britain, and sailed around the world twice.
Captain Cook's voyages established a great contribution to Britain, but at the same time they led to the establishment of colonies throughout the Pacific by British country.
In 1788 the first white settlers from England arrived at New South Wales in Australia.
The British government was happy to find the new colonies for convicts because the thirteen colonies in America had already become an independent country since 1776.
Since new settlers came, a long torturous history have begun for them. Indigenous peoples have been deprived of their lands, culture and human rights. They had been discrimnated against. Indigenous people were not even counted on census forms until 1967.
Australia Day( January 26) meant“Invasion Day”for Aborigines.
Finally the Australian government has officially made an apology for their wrongdoing to native people. Prime Minister Kevin Rudd made a four-minute appology in Parliament, using the word“sorry” three times.
Captain Cook's voyages brough wealth to British, on the other hand indeginous peopl have been inflicted suffeing.
Hi, ladies!!!
It is Friday, April 18, 2008, today, and it has been wet all day, hasn’t it? April weather is a mixture of rain and sunshine, and it normally rains so softly and gently in spring. I do not like going out in the rain, but it is quite OK to view the rain falling down out of the window. Sometime misty rain looks sentimental and romantic, doesn’t it?
Every day I enjoy reading everybody’s messages in this blog, and feel grateful to them for their contribution. I am especially glad that Cherry is now writing in and updating this blog every day. I know how hard it is to keep writing in every day, and thus greatly appreciate her efforts. I am also happy to know that she has been making beautiful progress in English-writing. I would like to encourage her, more than ever, to keep updating this blog regularly, though I am aware that it takes up a lot of her time…
Bamboo shoots are now in season, and I like bamboo shoot pieces cooked with chicken and seasoned with soy sauce and mirin. I normally buy already cooked bamboo shoots and so it is easy to cook them. It takes only ten or fifteen minutes, and besides bamboo shoots, probably, contain no calories, but they make me feel well-fed…how ideal it is for a diet!!!
Well, I think I have to cook supper, my lovely friends. Talk to you tomorrow. Bye-bye.
