Hokkaido was great 3

Hi, everyone!

Azalea, I also like the TV drama "kitano kunikara," and hoped to visit Goro's house.
But we couldn't do so, because I failed to use a car-navi system and changed our destination
to a lavender field, which was very famous in Furano.
But we succeeded in going the Fukiage onsen,
which is a hot spring Rie Miyazawa used on TV location.
My husband heard that men and women bathe together at that onsen,
and became eager for going there.
At last we came to there, but there was no lady but only an old man.
Poor my husband and I just turned back in a hurry.

Sunflower, you are lucky for having your daughter's husband.
How wonderful those colorful dishes were!
Is he a chef in a restaurant?
I don't like cooking, so I hope my kids would become good cookers
or marry good cookers.

So, good bye, friends!

Hi, everyone!!!

It is so lovely to read your messages.
I especially enjoyed Sunflower's description and account of the dishes her son-in-law made in her kitchen. I have been to her house in Midori-ku and she kindly gave us a guided tour in and around her kitchen, which was perfectly organized and impressed and fascinated us visitors. I can imagine how he cooked and prepared his gorgeous dishes there and how greatly he pleased his two beautiful lady dinner guests.

I have been having hectic days these days, since my daughter has been sick in bed (she says that she has a terribly big headache), spending most of my time on domestic work such as doing the laundry, hanging it on the lines, bring it in early in the evening so that it would not get wet again, folding dried clothes and putting them away in the drawers. I also go grocery shopping, carrying tremendously heavy bags home, and cook dinner and wash dishes every night. I change nappies and put Yujin (my grandson) to sleep. The last work for me is to give him a bath with my daughter. He is getting to be able to control his head, and bathing him is getting easier. How glad I am!!! I really don’t want to break his neck.

He sometimes gazes me for a long time, probably wondering who this old lady is. It’s me, it’s me, your granny. Don’t forget. I’ll come back to see you again at around Christmas.

He makes so many different funny faces and never bores me. I sometimes suppose that this little one is a fantastic entertainer. It is true that this tiny funny creature gives me a lot of blessed time and delightful pleasure. Otherwise we cannot raise this mini but fellow human being. He totally depends on us.

I will have another hectic day tomorrow, but it’s OK for me.

Well, it’s getting late, and so I am going to bed now. Goodnight, my dear friends.

Magnolia, yes, Manly is a gorgeous resort. I have been there, only once, though, but Yoji lived there for a year several years ago staying with a middle-aged Caucasian lady who kept a lot of cats (I cannot remember how many, but many, many cats). Of course he surfed every day. I wish I could live in Manly, but probably it’s a place where only super rich people can live, I wonder.

Hello, everyone.

Thank you, Magnolia. I think you enjoy your Indian summer.

Your eyes maybe reclaim the lavender field in Hurano, perhaps your nose also reclaims the perfume of the field, Cherry.

Now, Australia and India are in winter? It takes a long time to dry the laundry? Literally, your hectic days are exciting days, are'nt they? I can imagine your smiling face with Yujin.

Now, it's at 00:02 of August 9th.
Cinderella must go home. Who is Cinderella?

Hi, everyone.
I am enjoying letters of all of you.
Cherry, you spent a wonderful summer vacation in Hokkaido. How nice family trip! But it reminds me a miserable trip to Hokkaido of 20 years ago with my friend. Hokkaido has a special attraction Japanese outside Hokkaido, because it has different charm from other parts of Japan, its vast land and space, grand and pure emerald nature, in addition some kind of lonesome frontier atmosphere. I had longed for there, too. However, to my sadness, we had heavy rain and thick fog for all four days in Hokkaido.
We couldn’t see anything splendid, only depicting imagination of sceneries of outside through windows of the bus. I felt as if I were a convict sent under escort to ABASHIRI.
It was a very funny experience. I ‘d like to go Hokkaido again and get back fantastic image of Hokkaido next time.
My husband is calling me. So now I’ll stop now. Soon see you. Bye.
