Hi, everyone!
Azalea, your comment sounds very impressive for me.
I think your appropriate and warm expressions about each of us can prove your attentiveness.
It may be interesting to modify us, after the manner of Plum.
How about "Attentive Azalea"??
Today my kids and I went to a used-book shop, and bought some books.
It was enjoyable to hang about in the large shop, looking at many bookshelves,
but I got 4 books for 400 yen!
(Is this good for the bookshop industry?)
One title of those is "oyakusho no okite," a straitjacket society, by Masao Miyamoto,
for which I was looking for a while.
It was hot today, and when will the temperature fall ?
Take care of you, friends.
See you tomorrow!

Hi, everyone.
Thank you、 Cherry and Alice.
Alice said,
’Everyone and everything kisses and hugs in Western countries.’
Dr. Goodle who is known for the study of Chimpanzee gave a lecture some years ago. She said 'Chimpanzee and everyone kisses as greeting. But Japanese people don't. Why?' I sometimes think why? As you know, When Columbus came back to Europe from West India, syphilis went epidemic.
Among his crews, German crew was suffering from spirochaeta which was indigenous to Germany. His members were enthusiastically welcomed by the Eueopian population. Syphilis was epidemic.(I don't know why????)
A ban on Kiss was issued in Italy.
However, this custom was not gone.
What is kiss for human beings ?
Hi, everyone!!!
How did you spend your time today? Did you have a lot of good time today?
It’s fantastic to look around in a bookshop, Cherry. (When I have time in Sydney, I sometimes stop by into a bookshop and look around. Recently I saw a very dainty photo book about horticulture at a 30% discount price, but I did not buy it, because I already have enough books on horticulture some of which I have not read or even opened, at home. I suppose I am addicted to spending money on horticulture books or magazines.)
I’m glad to hear that you got a book you wanted to read, and besides you got four books just for 400 yen. How terrific!!! Some books become our treasures, don’t they?
My daughter had a big headache again today. She is OK in the morning, but toward the end of the afternoon, she tends to have an awful headache for some reason. I normally do not have a headache even when I am quite sick, and so I really cannot figure out why she gets such a terrible headache so often. Anyway her wound measured about 20 centimeters in length in the lower tummy is getting much better, and so she should be alright sooner or later.
My daughter is an easy-going person and does not care about details while on the other hand her husband is pretty meticulous and careful, which is totally contrary to us, my husband and me, as a married team. So it is extremely amusing and intriguing to observe them and listen to their conversation.
I am now counting on my fingers how many days I have to stay here with them until I leave. It is fun to live with them, but shorter the better. Probably they would agree with me. Also I’m really sorry for my son-in-law, because I am staying in his room, which is fairly comfortable for me since there is a big desk and other things I need while I’m here, and thus it is tremendously inconvenient for him to study at the dining table in the lounge, though he does not complain about it even a bit.
Yujin, the baby, is getting bigger and bigger. He is breastfed every two or three hours, and looks absolutely contended after he has sufficient breast milk, and smiles more often than before. Sometimes he gives sound when he smiles, which is unbelievable to me. Is he laughing? No way. He cannot laugh. He is only 3 weeks old.
I hope everything is going well with you. Goodnight, my dear friends…
Hello, Cherry and friends.
Cherry, you are lucky to find out “a strait jacket society”, by Masao Miyamoto, you’ve long wanted to read. I wonder whether it is written in English or Japanese. When Jonathan visited Tokie’s and joined our group, he talked on a straight jacket society to us. Surely this title seems to be one of his favorite subjects. It is "CASTRATION"
THE MAJOR GOAL OF JAPANESE EDUCATION, AND
ITS RELATIONSHIP TO GOVERNMENT DEREGULATION.
He kindly sent it to me after I asked him about the paper. If you are interested in reading it, I can put it on the MSN web site.
Hi, dear friends!
I remember that “A straight jacket society” was introduced on a news paper, attached the photo of the writer. I stood reading some parts of the book in a bookstore shortly later. It is too straightforward, that was my impression then and I thought it would not be welcomed in Japan society. So later Jonathan told us that he had deep empathy with the writer through the book, I thought the writer is one of absolute western mentally as well as Jonathan, though he is Japanese. However years have past. If I read again, I might have another impression. So, please send the article to me, Sunflower. Anyway it is very interesting to come in touch with another prospect.
Plum, I am sorry to hear that your daughter has often headache. I know the sharp pain and hardships. I used to have a migraine very often, once a month on the average, probably around the time of menstruation. I used to take anodynes on all such occasions. But I realized the regular amount of painkillers didn’t work and more and more I began to take. One day I realized. I took 7 pills, even though the head ache never went away.
On that day, I decided to stop to take such kind of painkiller pills. After I made up my mind never to take painkillers, I strangely had no head ache little by little since then. Soon I forgot about head ache. Headache is related with blood vessel, I think deep breathing may be effective to ease pain. I really hope Urara-san will relieve from the pain.
