A Tofu restaurant

Hi, friends!

I can’t believe that September would be over soon. This late summer must cause stress to us terribly, and so my family went to a Tofu restaurant in the neighborhood today. There were many menus of all sorts of Tofu or soybean there, such as dengaku, yuba, and ganmodoki. All of them were mild and sweet taste, which could give us a little happiness. Since such delicious foods have begun to increase in Autumn, I like that season.

Actually, I don’t like cooking, but I admire a good cook. Recently I found an advertisement of an Italian cooking class in the neighborhood, which showed that home-cooked, tasty Italian cooking would be held once a month. It’s really fascinating for me…I cannot make up my mind about that, and I wonder if it will work. It’s better to have a look first, isn’t it?

It’s time to cook. See you, good bye.

Hi, everyone!!!
How are you? Are you having a good time?

It is Monday, September 24, 2007, a national “make-up” holiday.
My husband went to work, since it isn’t his company’s holiday, and I just stayed at home, replying to some emails from my friends, writing postcards and letters to my relatives in Osaka, cooking noodles for lunch, thinking to myself about various things… It was a very good, relaxing holiday to me.

Tomorrow, I will go to see my dentist and hand doctor. A certain package from Mrs. and Mr. Kondo (do you remember who they are?) is arriving and I have to get it at home. The day after tomorrow an electrician is coming to fix our bathroom in the morning. Then, on Thursday and Friday I will be in Osaka. My calendar is actually full, and so today was my real holiday, and I enjoyed a lot of time just for myself.

Probably this weekend I will do some gardening, because I saw a lot of weeds growing here and there, everywhere, in my little garden, and so I have to get rid of them and put some flowering plants for this autumn. I am really looking forward to this small, though important, work.

I will have another hectic day tomorrow, and so I will go to bed a little earlier tonight. Goodnight, my precious friends.

Hi, everyone.

I am a little tired. The person who knows it knows it. However, I experienced a precious thing, and was again aware of a precious person.

Magnolia, your story always has a punch line. So you are loved by everyone.

Hi, Cherry and other members! I am an "old member" of NWSG and my online name is pomniche, which is same as one of my pets name. pomniche is a suger glider, and I had a puppy this summer^^

As in Alice's comment, I met her last Saturday at Aichi University. I was soooooo happy to meet her and catch up, it was quite short one, though.
We talked about this blog, and I told her that I check here quite often. Then I was encouraged to post a comment by Alice.

I admire Cherry's hard work to keep this blog going on and obviously Plum and other members' support makes here very heartful and enjoyable.

My summer holiday will be over soon and the coming semester will be busier than the last semester. My new classes at Meijo university will start tomorrow and I am a bit nervous... Because they are makeup courses and students might be less motivated.

Cherry, Tofu restaurant sounds very healthy. I like soft tofu and sometimes buy "Kaze ni fukarete Tofu-ya jhonny" and have with rock salt. Do you know? The tofu is rather creamy, like dessert.
I went to a Yakiniku restaurant last night. How unhealthy!! My face is round... too bad! Except my skin has a good complextion^^ maybe because I had lots of collagen!

I will try to post comments more often if I can, and not to be a silent reader...

I have to go now to take a shower for early next morning.
Have a good week everyone(^^)/

Hello, friends!
I read 'Josei no Hinkaku' or female dignity, one of the best seller books by Bando Mariko who was the first consulate general in Australia.
It is a very good book and it reminds me of how to live an attractive and clever life as a woman.
But it's not a segrigation and not only women but also men should read it. She wrote about some clues how to live as a human with dignity.
Among her writings:
If she knows many names of flowers, it shows how she loves nature and enjoys it. If she is interested in cooking, she can be a good cook and it means that she thinks much of health.
If she forgets or neglect her friends in the past, she also neglects herself. So friendship should be maintained in order to live comfortable life.

In European countries moral or the difference between right and wrong are taught by their religion, but in Japan there is not many oppoprtunities to learn them, so intentionally we have to read something good or listen to senior's opinion and cultivate our mind.

Changpane, I'm glad to hear from you!

Hello, Cherry and friends

Plum, you are a real active woman and a hard worker, aren’t you? I also think about cleaning garden which is very small but overgrown with weeds. I have always intended to do it soon, but not today, well - someday. Once I go out to water the garden, a lot of mosquitoes attack me. I would better let weeds grow thickly and freely in the garden than to be bit by mosquitoes. My mother-in-law is worrying about the mess garden and complaining to me saying “I wish I could do that by myself. But I am too old to clean there”. I respond to her request with silent, saying in my mind “I am sorry. I am also too old to pick up weeds on a scorching day. Don’t care about that. Don’t see the garden until the cool season comes”. I am a lazy daughter-in law. Let’s take it easy! Bye friends. l

Hi, everyone!!!
Hi, Champagne!!! Is my spelling of your name coreect?

I quite enjoyed reading all your messages in this blog, and I was so happy to realize that I was one of the contributors to this blog. Writing about something in English as we are talking is absolutely one of the best and cheapest ways to improve our English ability. We can also develop our skill in thinking in English, cannot we? Reproduction is always important and essential, in a way, in the acquisition of a foreign language, especially for adult learners who commenced to study it intentionally after the critical period, which varies depending on the individual linguist, though. Do you agree, everybody???

Today, I would like to let you know something about the domestic labor debate in the West, but it might be very difficult to understand it well for those who have never heard of it before, although it is absolutely not impossible to do so.

Thus, I just want to mention this:

The domestic labor debate in the West began in 1969 with a printed short article written by Margaret Benston, a Canadian Marxist feminist, which was entitled 'The political economy of women's liberation' (1969). In it, she argued, within the framework of the Marxist theory of labor, that the cause of women's oppression is economic and material and that it lies in women's unpaid domestic work.

It is very intriguing, isn’t it? I am not going to say anything more than this tonight. If you are interested in her writing, check it out online, please. It is part of your positive study about feminist theory, isn’t it? Then, gradually you can get used to it… I wish you best of luck.

I will talk to you again about the same subject but in a different place, and so please don’t miss it, please, please, please. Goodnight, my precious friends. Sleep tight…
