Hi, everyone!
Alice, it’s fantastic for us to find a nice beauty salon, isn’t it? For women, getting stylists to beautify hairstyle is very comfortable. My regular one is also good, and an owner has agreeable sense of distance to me.
It’s still hot day, today. I have not put away an electric fan yet, and it is hard to feel the middle of autumn. It seems that changing colors of leaves will be late this season.
So, good bye, see you tomorrow.

Dear Cherry and friends,
It was unbelievably hot this morning. Only persimmon and yellow ginkgo leaves suggest it's autumn.
Yesterday, I went to an art gallery early afternoon to see an annual exhibition of a former English teacher at Aichi university and 2 more artists. I was not her student but I met her some years ago at the gallery. Her name is Sherry. She is an artist from Ohio. I met her 3 years ago when I visited Phyllis. They live in Yellow Springs. She visits Japan for the exhibition every year.
The gallery is a nicely renovated old Japanese house. All the sliding doors of closets were removed and artworks were put in the closets, on the chests, on the wall, and on the small tables. The gallery is also a coffee shop. After watching their etchings, I had a glass of iced coffee. It was so warm that I needed a cold drink.
I had a small conversation with a woman who served coffee. I guess she is the owner of the shop. First, I asked about Sherry. I wondered if she came to the gallery this year. The woman answered Sherry couldn't come to Japan because she was busy taking care of her old mother. It was a sad news. I also asked her about a name I had just seen on the guest list because I noticed a familiar name, Mr. and Mrs. K on it. I thought they visited the gallery that morning and asked her, “Did a couple come here this morning?” And the woman was puzzled. She told me she had only one customer that morning. Looking at the list, and she found the couple were still in the gallery. To my surprise, they were there! Mrs. K has been a teacher at Aichi university for many years and Sherry and Mrs. K are friends for a long time. I'm glad to see her because I have known her since I was a JALT member and I haven't seen her more than 2 years. So we sat at the same table and talked for a while.
I wrote to Phyllis about this happy coincidence last night.
It was such a nice Sunday.
Talk to you later.

Alice Paul is an active civil rights campainer in 1900's, especially asking for women's suffrage.
I did not dive at all, but walked in the sea and schnorcheled.
Alice, Magnolia, thank you for your asking me.
Hello, Cherry and my dear friends.
I’ve been feeling that it takes energy and time to improve English skills to reach a certain level. In this autumn BS broadcasting started to air interesting TV drama series such as Ugly Betty on Monday and Desperate housewives on Wednesday. I’m going to watch in English although it seems a sort of challenging for me to catch up with such a quick and complicated conversation by native speakers.
But I believe listening to CNN or NHK news in English is the best way to improve the ability of listening and speaking.
By the way I took a short trip to Kusatsu onsen up in Gunnma with my DH.
Do you know DH? The acronym stands for Dear Hubby.
Autumn colored Mt. Haruna whose shape is just like Mt. Fuji was so beautiful. At the foot of the mountain we saw Lake Haruna. The conbination of the lake and colorful, well shaped mountain were
beyond description. I urged DH to take and ride a boat. I enjoyed incredibly appealing autumn scenery while floaing on the lake for 30 minutes.
Autumn is the best season to read and watch TV. Let’s brush up our listening and speaking ability though brand-new TV drama series as well as writing skills on Cherry’s Blog.
Good-night, dear friends.
Hi, everone
So, Is Kusatsu cooler than here? Sunflower.
Alice. Your desire to see Mr. and Mrs. K drew them, didn't it?

Couch oranges' color turned to orange from green. However, the taste has not been sweet yet. I hope it will get cold for them.
