Hi, everyone!
Today we, Azalea, Peach, Sunflower(special guest) and I gathered together at Plum's house to learn about the essay. Her lecture was really excellent as usual, and I could receive a lot of lessons to improve my English. I can't express how happy I am now. I'll do my best untill my essay is finished successfully. Thank you very much.
So, see you, good night.

Dear Cherry and friends,
Good morning!
How is your essay going?
Several weeks ago, I started to translate the essay about Miss Payne into Japanese. It's a shame that I found some mistakes in the original essay. Like drawing a picture, I have to retouch an essay whenever I reread it. And it becomes an endless process.
Yesterday afternoon, I read two different kinds of articles. The first article is about Korean woman student activists. In Korea, student movements began from the '70s. I was surprised that the most radical activists are in my generation. This article is written by a Korean feminist scholar. She analyzes that Korean woman student activists behaved like men but were supposed to support male students like their mothers. So she argues that woman activists themselves denied womanhood. One activist recollects how she fought. She never doubted women's oppressed status in the circle, but after she married she realized how she was oppressed. The marriage was her eye-opener.
Mr. Mogi Kenichiro was the author of another book I read yesterday. You might guess it was about brain. That's right. The topic of the book is the relationship between brain and creativity. I wonder if I can explain well what impressed me the most. The analogy of the talk was the difference between computer and brain. If computer has a piece of information, it is not influenced by any activity such as printing. However, if the brain has an idea, it isn't a standstill information or knowledge. Any human activities influence the idea. Especially outputting, such as writing and speaking, change it. Creativity begins here. Then, our research essay writing project is a wonderful activity to develop our creativity, isn't it?
Have a good week!
Hi, everyone!!!
How are you doing?
It is Monday, January 21, 2008, today, and it is terribly cold, isn’t it? I do have to go to a nearby bank this afternoon. It is located within walking distance, and so I am going to walk there, but it seems too freezing to go out for walking. What am I supposed to do…?
Yesterday, Cherry, Peach, Azalea and Sunflower came to my house to discuss their essay topics. I really appreciate their attendance despite the cold weather in mid-January.
After we finished our session and they left, I realized that I had forgotten to tell them one important factor in essay writing, which is evidenced in the essay on Akiko Yosano. Dichotomy. Probably I mentioned the author’s comparison of the fairly different developments of the lives of Akiko and Tekkan a little bit (if not much). But I should have emphasized that, dichotomy, much more, because it is one of the easiest methodologies for writing essays, especially for beginners.
Also that is one essential technique to make our writing more intriguing and attractive to our readers. I strongly hope you learn it and use it in your essays, if it is applicable.
I really hate this cold, but it cannot be helped, because we are in winter.
I will talk to you again tomorrow, my lovely friends. Bye-bye, now.
