Hi, everyone!
Plum, I’m happy to hear your good idea of watching DVD written by Charles Dickens. It seems really substantial material and I’d like to watch it with you. I am looking forward to learning all about the Victorian age from you.
So, see you soon, good bye.

Dear Cherry and friends
Thank you for your suggestion to see the DVD together, Plum. How interesting! I am looking forward to the time.
By the way, the highest rank of sumo wrestler, Hakuho beat another yokozuna, Asashoryu. Today’s newspaper says that it is very nice to have an excellent contender.
Having a nice challenger stimulates a strong intention and mood of not-yield spirit, and improves the ability of contenders. Two strong yokozunas make sumo more exciting.
The famous brain scientist also says that “peer’s pressure” can develop your abilities the most. I think seeing friends, who always do their best to do something, is “peer’s pressure” for me. Thank you for your nice pressure giving a nice influence to me.
See you again, friends. Bye.

Hi, everyone!!!
How are you doing?
Thank you for your encouraging comments about the DVD. The only problem is that the duration is long, perhaps more than eight and a half hours…, since the novel itself is extremely long. It will probably require two days to complete watching it.
Also, the narrative is so complicated that it is fairly hard to understand every detailed episode of the whole story. But I think I can give you a rough account of the developments of major episodes in the story.
Nonetheless, it is good to take a look at the visual presentation of the exciting period of the time in England. It will definitely help us understand how this country influenced our country in the 19th century. (Britain was the greatest country in the world in terms of economy, industry and technology when Japan abolished its isolationism and opened its door to the Western World in the true sense of the words. The amount of the trade with Holland was actually just nominal, compared to the amount of the world trade performed by Britain.)
Here is some information about the DVD, which was produced by BBC.
Out of an interminable court case spin three young people each searching for their place in the world. Their story moves fast---swirling through an incredible array of characters from passionate young lovers to ruthless lawyers, from an ice-cold aristocratic beauty to a shred, relentless detective---until the final thrilling climax.
Anyway it is a beautifully and magnificently created artistic work, I believe. BBC did a very good job. Good for you, BBC!!! I assure you that you will definitely enjoy it.
Talk to you again tomorrow, my lovely friends. It is always fabulous to talk to you in this blog. Bye for now, my dear friends
Dear Cherry and friends,
Hello. I have just come back from Tokyo.
Yesterday and today, I attended seminars held at a certain university.
At first, I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere, but soon I found that both the teacher and other students are friendly and nice.
If I have chance, I would love to share the details with you.
So, please don't ask me the details here on the blog, ok?
Today, I will write about a part of it.
I was very impressed by a presentation given by a student.
She is, I guess, around 55.
I can't judge whether her paper itself was academically valuable or not. It definitely amazed me.
This woman is from Sendai. She started to attend this class last spring. Before she studied, she was a stressed-out housewife. Her own study found that she was a sufferer, describes her problem in detail, and practically became the power to solve the problem. She argues with her husband and makes him understand that men and women are equal and she is not his slave or servant. Now she is in the process of making a new family. Her ideal family is a peer support group. The teacher of the seminar commented that among all the paper presented in the class, this only paper collaborated the agreement of theory and practice.
Come to think about it, Plum is giving us the exactly same power for us.
As a housewife, Magnolia used this power to change her family. And it's gradually changing, isn't it?
And my life itself has changed a lot, thanks to Plum.
