The best spring season

Hi, everyone!

Welcome back, Plum! You must have been enjoyed a lot of beautiful places in England, and so got tired. Please take care. I’m looking forward to hear your interesting stories of the journey.

Magnolia, I’m happy to hear your fantastic trip to Hikone with your friends. It has been really warm and comfortable during the last two days, hasn’t it? You could enjoy the best spring season. Someday I’d like to go there.

So, see you later. Good night.

Hello, Cherry and my dear friends.

It’s Sunday, April 6. Today is the eve of our 34th wedding anniversary. My husband and I invited our three children including my youngest daughter, my son and his wife to dinner at a French restaurant which was a few kilometers away from my house.
We spent about three hours on eating and chatting in a friendly atmosphere. I said to them, "I wish I could invite all of you at my golden wedding anniversary in fourteen years later." At that time Kyoko will be 42, Yoshio & Yuko will be 47. They will/might have their own children. I wondered how many family members there will be all together.

Watanabe's parents and my parents used to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary, so we’d like to follow suit.

It’s nice to eat a meal together with our family when we celebrate on special days. Our hectic life style prevents us from eating together slowly and liesurly. I’d like to value such a family time in future.

Dear Cherry and friends,

Hello. How are you?
Do you have favorite blogs to read?
I read several blogs written by people I don't know personally.
I bookmarked these blog websites so that I can visit them once in a while.
One of my favorites is written by German woman in her 20s. I don't remember how I found this blog. I was interested in it because she writes it in Japanese. She is posting it from Germany. Probably she is studying Japanese culture at university. As far as I know, she came to Japan when she was a high school students, homestayed and went to school.
What amazes me the most is her progress. Her Japanese is getting better and better. I enjoy reading it because of this progress and her thoughts. She always tries to write complicated things, that is, how she feels and thinks. I guess she doesn't want to write what she writes in Japanese in her own language although she sometimes writes blog diary in Germany.

Seeing her progress in Japanese, I can believe the saying, “practice makes perfect.” I would love to follow suit.

Have a good day!

Hi, ladies!!!
How are you?
I am back in Nagoya now.

While I was in London, I stayed at a hotel near Kensington Gardens where Kensington Palace is located. The Palace is well known for its once being a residence for Diana, who was killed in a car accident in Paris ten years ago. I paid 6 pounds for admission and looked around some part of the inside of the Palace that was opened to the public.

Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are actually connected to be a huge area in central London. Similarly Trafalgar Square is an extremely large square, and I was amazed by the enormousness. Luckily I was able to observe the change of the guards in front of the Buckingham Palace. What surprised me most was numerous Europeans strolling in every street in central London. I heard Spanish, French, German, Russian and other European languages spoken at any corner of the street. It is so stupid of me that I realized in London that the UK is a member country of the European Union.

I visited a number of places of historical interest that were popular to tourists, but I have to confess that I missed so many important sites to call at. Next time, if there is a next time, I would like to go to Nightingale Museum opposite the House of Parliament with the River Thames in-between.

It is getting late, and so I will stop writing, but I will talk to you again tomorrow, my dear friends. Goodnight…

Hi, ladies!!!
How is everything going with you?
I hope all of you are having a good time at this time of the day.
It is Tuesday, April 8, 2008, today. Time flies, doesn’t it?

On the flight from and to Japan I saw four or five movies, but the most impressive one was The Great Debaters, which seems to have been produced based on a true story and in which main characters were all black Americans.

In the movie, four debaters practice how to speak “English” in a public speech, which is hilarious and fairly useful to us English learners. If I have a chance, I would like to demonstrate their practice method to you. But go to this site, if you would like to know something about the movie. It is a great movie, I assure you:

In London, every day I had a new discovery, and it was a brilliant experience to me. I really want to go back to the city, hopefully in the very near future.

I took three essays with me to London; the essays by Azalea, Ms. Hatano, and Alice, and I read them repeatedly and made a number of corrections and changes to them at Narita and Heathrow Airports while I was waiting for my flight.

Sooner or later I will send back your essays to you, Azalea and Alice. Tomorrow I will go out to work, since the university spring session started and the language classes at the Library, including my classes, begin this week. Time flies and I cannot keep up with the flying time. I need more time for a day, not just 24 hours, but, perhaps, 30 hours or more than that…

I also hope that this pleasant spring weather stays as long as possible. I hate the heat in Nagoya…

Well, it is already the time to cook dinner, my precious friends. I will talk to you tomorrow. Bye for now, my lovely women friends.
