Last night I tried to put papers and books in order on my desk, because those have been surely increasing since I began the Victorian studies, and I had difficulties in searching papers every time. But arranging new shelf on my desk made it clear dramatically for me, and I’m very delighted about it now. Orderly desktop is really comfortable, isn’t it? I just hope I could keep things neat…
I also realized an excellent fact about our memory on the TV program last night. In this program, Mr. Mogi, brain scientist, said that we could increase our powers of memory by joining our sense of speaking, reading and writing together. From brain science, Plum’s lecture is exactly correct.

It has been quite warm today, and the maximum temperature of Nagoya was over 27 degrees, I heard. Extraordinary, isn’t it?
I was out for all morning and early afternoon, and my husband came to pick me up for lunch all the way from his company in Haruhi. Thus, we went to a unagi restaurant near Ikeshita Station, and he had unadon while I had unajo.
I am extremely glad to hear from Cherry that Dr. Mogi theorized my hypothesis on a TV program. Thank you so much for letting me know about it, Cherry. Reading and listening are very important factors in language learning, but similarly significant aspects are writing and speaking. More you stimulate and cultivate your brain, more thoroughly and efficiently works your brain, believe me.
By the way, are you enjoying Rosemary and Thyme episodes? If you are, please let me know your impressions of the series. Are they too difficult to comprehend? I think their English is quite standard and ordinary in a way, and it is safe to copy it. Soon we are going to watch Bleak House together at Cosmos’ place, and the English spoken by main characters is superb and dynamic, and even exciting and overwhelming sometimes. Very impressive, definitely.

I went to 'Tuan' a Vietnamese restaurant in Yagoto the day before yesterday. It served a variety of Vietnamese food such as noodle called 'For', rice porridge, sweet potato rice(Onigiri), sweet sour pork like dish, fried foods and so on.
All of them were good and reasonable, which was a lunch buffet cost 880 yen, so we could eat as much as we liked until 2 o'clock. All of us became full.
I took my friends for the first time, but they seemed to be satisfied.
Anyway it was an interesting experience.

I have been translating part of my master's thesis into English to submit to the committee of a certain conference. Before starting this, I underestimated the hardship. It is taking longer hours than I expected. Now I feel it will last forever. I always feel that reading technical articles in English is much easier than reading other English articles such as academic writings in social sciences or novels. English books about statistics are difficult not because of words or English usages but because of mathematical theories. Therefore, I used to think technical writing is easier than other writings. I changed my mind.
What I have realized is that knowing words and knowing how to use the words are completely different matters.
Well, I have to take out the garbage, now.

It is Thursday, May first. Hopefully fine. Plum, actually I haven't watched Rosemarry and Time yet. There showed a notice saying the DVD cannot be seen with my DVD player. I'm trying different player. Alas ! I cannot wait!
Oh,well I forgot to say thank you, Plum. The sache is now staying in my drawer and always makes me happy and helps me become a little elegant whenever I do the drawer. Magnolia, the Vietnanease restaurant you went was once recommended by my frined, but I haven't been there. I should definitely check! During the meeting at my daughter's school, I have to endure the attraction of sleeping. I seem to have shortage of sleeping hours. One of the mothers mentioned about the mobile.
Her daughter had spent too many hours using it, so the angry mother called the mobile company to stop the contract. My daughter said that now she understands the reason why she cannnot talk with her on the mobile.
The machine says the line has stopped with some reason by the contractor! With mobiles, mothers have to face with different types of probrems. Always with you.
Ms. Tada, I wonder why you cannot write in the blog. I write comment in the square on the right, then copy it. Log in, then paste the comment I copied. Without this procedure, my comment is erased. I always wonder if I can make this procedure shorter. I hope you can find good way to blog in.
