Hi, ladies!
Plum, I also feel sorry for your fearful memory in your childhood. Any molester and abuse against children should not be allowed in our society. Protect children is our important duty. I just hope my kids and all children to live healthy, safely, and happily.
This afternoon I found a nice expression in Anne of green gables. You would already know this, but I’ll write it for myself.
(Anne said to Marilla)
When I left Queen’s (college) my future seemed to stretch out before me like a straight road. I thought I could see along it for many a milestone. Now, there is a bend in it. I don’t know what lies around the bend, but I’m going to believe that the best does…
Our life, too, has had a lot of bends, hasn’t it? I’d like to believe, like Anne, the best lies around the bend in our future. It’s really fantastic.
Well, see you tomorrow. Bye!

Hi, ladies!!!
It is always so fascinating to read your message in your blog, Cherry. Your quotation from the book Anne of Green Gables reminds me of a most pleasant time I spent on the island, Prince Edward Island, Canada. I visited Anne’s house, though it was constructed based on the novel, and so it is a fictitious building, but it was a marvelous and remarkable little house to me, the excellent recreation of Anne’s world. I also called at tiny museums related to the novel and the author, which were found here and there on the island.
I am glad that I could visit the island, although it was a long, extremely long flight from Japan. It is strongly recommended to tour around the island, in summer, definitely in summer. It was in early October that I visited it and it began to snow there, and there was no sign of tourist liveliness in the city center, which appeared to me deserted and even desolate and made me a little lonely and sentimental. (At that time I had a little problem with my son, and at the dinnertime at the hotel I heard someone singing the song called “Son”, and I cried a little tears.) Nonetheless I walked into the residential area off the city center and quite enjoyed walking along a little autumn path between great mansions covered up by lots of leafy trees.
How lovely to recall the days I spent on Prince Edward Island! Thank you for sharing with us the citation from Anne of Green Gables, Cherry.
Well, it is almost time to have supper, my precious friends. I will talk to you tomorrow. Bye for now.
Hello, friends!
About 5 years ago, I also visited Prince Edward Island and stayed P.E.I. hotel with some of my friends.
At that time one of my friends stayed in Canada on business for 5 years and invited us to his home in Tronto where we stayed 3 nights and went to Montreal, Harifax, P.E.I. and Vancouver. Totally it was a 10 -day- trip.
I love Canadian cities very much because every city has its character and so beautiful.
Especially P.E.I. was just like a city of fairy tale. I was afraid of taking a small plane after heavy rain and in strong wind, but when we landed ,the sky cleared up
and we could enjoy nice view of the nature. I wish I could visit the country again.
We met a Japanese professinal photographer who was from Sendai and he said, " I come here every season to take different scenery for many years. I cannot take my eyes off from this island."
Dear friends,
Today I happen to know a woman who had divorced just recentry. She said she felt revived. They had known each other since they were junior high school students, but he has changed after he gained money and honor. Another women told me the recent trend that if a woman's daughter got divorced and return home with her children, she welcomes them and feels happy about it. Of course it depends on the case. It is under the conditoins that they can afford themselves. I know no mother thinks of their children's happiness.
Hello, Cherry and my precious friends.
Cherry, thank you for posting a beautiful quotation from Anne of Green Gables. I’ve never been Prince Edward Island, but I enjoyed watching beautiful scenery on a program on NHK last night. I watched an actress, Keiko Matsuzaka visiting that little house which I didn’t know was a fictitious building. Anyway I'm glad to glimpse the cute little room.
It was a little surprise to see great Keiko Matsuzaka on the English program. Her English was amazingly good.
Good-night, my friends.
