Logial thinking

Hi, ladies!

I’m really pleased to receive your warm comments. Thank you very much!

Now I am standing at a new start line, which can lead a world of more improved English. If you don’t mind, I’d like to keep writing in this Blog everyday, though I’ve felt somewhat ashamed of many mistakes in it. Still, I can get more comfortable feelings in writing in English than a year ago. I hope I can think and express in English more smoothly.

By learning some speaking, a kind of presentation, I found that I am so short of logical thinking. I’ve never have chance to argue or discuss various social issues so seriously. Actually, in such a narrow full-time homemaker’s world, there was no need to ‘discuss.’On the contrary, some peaceful chat was most needed. Sometimes it might be comfortable for each other, but it was often bored.

Through learning, I found I like thinking of gender issues and don’t like such a gender-biased expression ‘Courage is what makes a man, and charm is what makes a woman.’ I wonder why only women have to be so attractive, and so passive. Recently on TV, there are a number of women who used to be men. They are more charming than original women(?). I think it’s almost OK, and women also can show their own personality more freely, whether womanly or not womanly. Japanese Wa, or harmony may be important wisdom for our life, but we can live freer lives. How about you?

Thank you for reading, see you tomorrow. Bye!

Hi, everyone.

Cherry, Thank you very much again and I appreciate your today's blog "Logical thinking' because it totally recalls how to throw a speech to me. I have completely forgotten it. What shall I do?

Recently, I feel that my brain sometimes gets dim, Isn't it recently but originally? Anyway, I can't have confidence about the content I have read in the book.
A few days later, I reread it, sometimes I can get it. The meaning of the word I remembered is different from what the bood writes. I suppose so. I must look up a word in the dictionary. Simply, I am lazy?
You suppose so, no, I don't think so. My consiousness looms. I suppose so.

Today, I found a sweet shop in Kyoto at Imadegawa Kawaramachi.
It was a nostalgic taste. Its name is 'Honey bee' in English.
Have a good sleep!!

Hi, ladies!!!
It has been wet almost all day today, hasn’t it? It is getting close to the end of the day, but it is still drizzling. Rain, would you stop crying? I would like to see some sunshine…

Do you still remember Mrs. A? Yes, that Mrs. A. She gave me a call yesterday, late afternoon, oh, terrible!!! Can you guess what she said? She said that it was almost the time for me to hung the recycle garbage net.

Our recycle garbage is collected on Thursday early afternoon, and garbage should be placed by 8 am on Thursday morning, and thus the net is supposed to be there early in the morning before anyone puts garbage at the collection area.

We are not supposed to put garbage on Wednesday night since when wind comes up during the night plastics are often blown away, and therefore the net is not necessary there at night. Nonetheless we tend to put the net on the previous night, since it is hard to tell when the first garbage is put on Thursday morning. Normally we do that after dark, because the net gets obstructive, don’t we?

But…but…Mrs. A called me and said that I should put the net immediately in the broad daylight… Very interesting…

But I was a bit busy at that time and I replied that I would do that a little later and she said that if I was too busy and then she would do that for me. And she came around to my house and asked me for the net and then left. I was astounded and just thanked her for her kindness. Very interesting person, Mrs. A, isn’t she? She just could not wait for me to put the net a little later. In a way, I was a bit concerned that she might be watching me like a guard as if I were a prisoner. Am I thinking too much?

Well, it is time to go to bed, my lovely friends. Goodnight to you all and you have sweet dreams, my beautiful friends…

Hello, Cherry and my precious friends.

A little late, I know, but Happy Birthday to the Cherry’s Blog! As one of the contributors of this Blog, I’m very happy not only to cerebrate its birthday, I also agree to continue this for another three more months as Plum suggested.

Persistence, patience, tenacity and sticky-- I love these three words which are essential and indispensable elements for us to learn a foreign language. How exciting to show my feeling in English expressions I’ve got from books or any other materials.

Plum, I’m grateful to you for your ardent love and positive encouragement for us to hold on English which is really a convenient tool of getting knowledge and information aroung the world.

Gloriosa, you’re going to be hospitalized next week, staying there for over a month. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you’ll have a successful operation.

Good-night, my precious friends.

Hello, Cherry and my precious friends.

It is June 20. It was very cloudy and sticky during the day. In the evening it started to rain heavily with thunder. It seems to begin the rainy season.

Last Wednesday five women gathered at Jonathan’s meeting to practice how to do a debate. Debating is a kind of intellectual game. The goal of any game is to win. It helps improve the skill of talking logically. Listening ability is also needed to find faults with what opponents said.

We're going to have a debate July 2.
The title of a debate is “Abortion should be legalized anywhere in Japan”.

As you know, there are two laws.
The one is the Criminal Code that prohibits the performance of all abortions. The other is The Eugenic Protection Law that permits some abortions such as to save the life of the womqan or to preserve physical hearlth.

Anway more reaserch will be needed to have an edge on opponets.

IT's time to take a bath. Good night.

Hello, friends.

I went to listen to the presentation by a famous simaltaneous interpreter and the professor of Tokoyo Gaidai, Ms. Chikako Tsuruta at YWCA this afternoon.

Her talk was very impressive and interesting. She talked for 2 hours, but it sounded much shorter.I became her fan because I knew that she was a sincere, honest and modest person.
She confessed one of her mistakes of interpretation and told that she still learned from the mistakes.

She said,"3 important factors for an interpreter are curiosity, positive thinking and book lover who reads widely.
Above all accumulating knowledge is the most important thing."
Then she said," Also insight and reaoning power are required and in order to learn them debating is very helpful."

Let's practice debating!

Hello, Cherry and my precious friends.

It’s Saturday. It’s been raining on and off. I stayed at home all day long. While I was vacuuming the room in the morning, I had a call from my son, who said that his wife, Yuko-chan had a terrible vomiting of pregnancy for these several weeks so he had to decide to let her go to her parents’ for some rest and relaxation.

Last Sunday when we had dinner with them together, she looked fine. In reality she had such a terrible health condition during this week that she could not spend a regular life. I feel sorry for her. Tomorrow he will drive her to her parents’ home in Kiyosu city.

Yoshio asked us to prepare dinner for him for several weeks during her absence. I told him not to worry.

I’ve never experienced sever morning sickness. I hope she’ll get better soon.

Good night, my dear friend.
