By the way, I had tried some foreign books by Alice’s advice, and the other day I finished one paperback. I found it seems easier to read without looking up a dictionary such a long novel than ever. I think probably because its historical background is the Victorian era’s London and makes a very attractive story. Thanks to Victorian studies, I could enjoy several details of this novel.
Wide reading in English is very interesting and effective for me. I wish I could be addicted to reading nice novels all day long.

I remember having been to bargain sales for my kids7 clothes. These days my daughter has her own taste,so I gave up buying her things by onewelf.
Plum, the TV program you mentioned sounds very attractive to me. Cooking every day is very tough job especially in summer. We tend to loose appetite and the heat in the kitchen tires me....
My DH and son complained about today's menu. They said I cooked the same dish in a week. I did not remember when I served the dish. They could not say, either! I was
cross. I think we shouldn't complain about the food. Anyway I choke back my rage for the family peace. I feel miserable.

Hot, hot, hot… The daytime high was above 30 degrees, wasn’t it?
Cosmos, Sunflower and I went to Shukutoku School at Hoshigaoka to attend a ceremonial meeting for Aichi seminar. But we did not stay in the gym where it was held, for more than 10 minutes, perhaps, because the heat and humidity were almost suffocating us to death and we also knew what was going on at the meeting. We are so experienced in those things, aren’t we? This is going to be our 6th speech presentation, isn’t it? Then, we walked down to Skylark for about 5 minutes to have some refreshments and cool air. Outside was much nicer than inside.
In the family restaurant we talked about various things, but I made a mistake and I would like to correct it. I said “lexicon”, meaning “syntax”.
I wanted to say that syntax was completed at puberty but lexicon would be increased endlessly after that period. I am very sorry and I apologize to Cosmos and Sunflower for my error.
