HI, everyone!
Alice, the book I read is ‘ kosodate syufuno eigo benkyoho’ by Plum. Did you know that English title is appearing if you put a book jacket off? I love it.
These days, my kids angrily said to me ‘ which do you like, us or BLOG?!’ I suppose I become enthusiastic about this blog, and they are dissatisfied. Lovely baby! I have to try to play with them more.
From TIME this week.
‘On the fence: A voter’s guide to the 2008 election’
‘Hillary Clinton...With voters looking for change, a continuation of the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton dynastic cycle is a tough sell; tens of millions of Americans are dead set against her.’
‘Verbatim’
‘It would be nice to have a woman President. I think half the Senate should be women, half of Parliament, half the ruling mullahs. But that will never happen, darling!---Meryl Streep’
We can enjoy many information of the U.S. President election next year.
So, good bye, have a nice weekend!

Hello, Cherry and friends.
Time is flying. October has left only a few days! I have really realized that the older I become, the faster a year passes. I recall my childhood when a year was equivalent to permanence. Now it seems that a year is a moment for me. Anyway we must not waste times. I must brace myself.
Cherry, you are a young mother of two cute girls. I suppose you are very busy as a working mother, in addition, you opened the blog which is very precious for all of our members now. You are now torn between conflicting demands, or your daughters’ demand and your own desire. Surely you can get through hard times and your daughters will be proud of their mother who devoted herself to studying. They will learn a lot from your life-style. I am also very impressed with your dedicated posture. Thank you, Cherry.
Dear Cherry and friends,
Cherry, thank you for telling me about the title of Plum's book. I have the book, but I didn't know the English title. It is one of the books I lent M-chan the other day.
Around 4 o'clock this morning, I felt I couldn't sleep well and the buzzing of mosquito woke me up. Can you believe that? The mosquito bit me several times in the end of October. It drove me crazy. So I had to cover myself with futon and went back to sleep. I wonder where it came from. It still lives in my room. I just saw it now and missed to kill it. It irritates me.
The US presidential election entertains people. Americans are very interested in the whole process of the election and tremendously excited about it. I heard that people gather together like a party on the election night and wait until the result comes out. Such atmosphere is beyond my understanding as I always see politically apathetic people in Japan. I sometimes feel that Japanese bureaucrats look down on ordinary citizens. Sometimes they behave like people don't know anything about society so they believe they had to decide and coordinate everything. That's why Japanese people haven't been given the chance to make good civil society grow.
A typhoon is getting closer. Let's hope it won't cause any disaster.
Good night.

Hi, Cherry and friends
Cherry, thank you for your dedication to this blog, but if your children became jealous of it, it's a problem. So you'd better play with them more and in addition to that, you'd better let them like this blog. How?
If you get some information from this blog, you should explain them and for example, cook something delicious and say that it's from this blog.
Isn't it a good idea?
So this time I'll tell you very easy cooking and delicious as well.
This is a recipe of baked chicken called 'Apple Chicken', which is named by me though.
Firstly, bake two pieces of breast chickedn seasoned with salt and pepper, with butter in the frying pan.
Secondly, after baking both sides of the chicken, add 2 or 3 tablespoons of white wine and bake it in the pan(Mushiyaki) in 7-8 minutes.
Thirdly, take the chicken from the pan out and put 1 tablespoons of butter in the same pan and put grated apple (Kogyoku or jonagold only)in the pan and heat it quickly and add some sugar, salt and pepper accroding to your taste.
Lastly, pour that apple sauce on a baked chicken.
That's all. My family members like it very much. Why don't you try it?
Good evening, Cherry and friends
Thank you for nice recipe, Magnolia. It is very simple but must be good taste and nice for kids to help mother cook. Good idea!
Today I went to NHK culture center to listen to a lecture of which topic was “bone”. It was free. Many seniors attended. The lecturer was a plastic surgeon. He talked audience that wearing cartilage and osteoporosis are not curable. They have no power of self-healing, just like that decayed tooth can never recover by itself. Once it gets damaged, it will be treated with filling or replaced by an artificial one. He explained that muscle has a role to support bones, so we must build up muscle. He said aqua-walking is a better exercise which doesn’t put a burden on bones. So I went to pool after supper. Now I have a comfortable fatigue. Then next, I am going to get sound sleep. Good night, everybody. Let’s enjoy a nice dream.
