This afternoon I went to a dentist to clean my teeth. Two weeks ago, the filling in my back tooth came out, and I tried to see this new dentist. The reason is because my regular dentist couldn’t get along with me these days. Fortunately, new one had considerable technical skill, I think, and some dental hygienists were also careful workers. I’ve satisfied with the result.
Plum, I’m always deeply grateful to you. My goal must be far, far away, and I can’t reach that place, I feel. It is important, but difficult for me to maintain motivation for learning English. Thanks to all of you, this Blog made me the courage to make progress. Thank you very much.

How are you today? Is everything OK with you?
It’s been a warm day, and we went to Jusco near Nagoya Dome to do some grocery shopping, as I told you yesterday. For lunch we had Japanese noodles with some deep fried vegetables at one of the restaurants in the shopping complex. Have you ever been to that shopping center? We sometimes go there, since it is large and much easier to do shopping. Since my husband could not walk properly due to the knee damages, we need space enough to walk around slowly and leisurely so that he would not bump into strangers.
I have been thinking of the reason why hernias developed in my neck bones. My sister maintained that I had spent too much time using my computer. She concluded that I was glued to the machine. Yes, probably she is right. It is true that I spent most of my time before my computer, and I cannot live without my computer and the Internet. Yes, I’m a computer junkie, definitely.
Then, just today I put a book under one side of the laptop computer so that it could be slanted, and I realized that the one side raised computer was much easier for me to use and my sitting posture was greatly improved. It was a fascinating discovery to me. I have been using a laptop computer since 1997, and never used a desktop (which means that I forced myself to stoop for more than 10 years, oh, horrible, isn’t it?), but I now realized that a desktop was much physically kind to computer operators.
Thus I bought an iMac on the web this afternoon, which was a desktop 16 centimeters high from the base of the stand to the lower edge of the screen. Then, probably this height would make my cervical vertebrae less stooped, I hope. I was told that it would take one week for the iMac to get to my place. Oh, I just cannot wait.
Alice, thank you for sending me your letter and manuscript that reached me this afternoon. I read through your script, and I did not find any flaws. But I will read it again tomorrow, and then I will email you. You did a fabulous job, Alice. Good for you!!!!
