An ipod

Hi, everyone!

It has been raining today, and I had to put on a long sleeved shirt. Air temperature is extremely unbalanced these days, isn’t it?

Today, I got an ipod at a big electrical machinery shop. It is tremendously tiny, and could be set on anywhere with a clip. Until now I used an old CD player, which took a lot of space in my bag. When I got on a subway to go working, there were many, many passengers terribly pushing and shoving on it. I hate that crowding…So, listening English or beautiful music with an ipod might be just my precious time while getting on a subway.

Azalea, I think you have really rich vocabularies. If you are ignorant, what on earth am I??? It takes a long time for me to write this blog with my dictionary…

Today is the first day of October. I hope we will enjoy our fruitful days.
Good bye, see you!

Dear Cherry and friends,
Hello. How are you?
It's 1st of October! Good day to restart things we gave up, isn't it?
Sorry for not putting any comments for a while.
I didn't quit writing here, but I have been engaged in essay-writing.
To my shame, I could not make it by the 25th, the due date.
Early this morning, I finally submitted the first draft.

Although I am an old member of this group, I was told to submit it by the end of September. Some of you may know the reason. I could not finish writing the last essay before May, which delayed the completion of Essays 2006. I actually submitted the first version on March 1st. The last deadline was the end of February. I rewrote it thoroughly at least twice.

This weekend, we're gonna have an interim thesis presentation in front of professors and students. It makes me nervous. Currently, I have to prioritize this over everything.

Cherry, what kind of music do you like?
I like woman Western singers such as Celine Dion.
Woman black singers are also my favorites.
Is this “black” politically correct, by the way?
I like to listen to soulful voice and English.

Enjoy autumn, the season of art and music! And don't forget autumn food!!!

Hi, everyone!!!
Yes, it has been a bit chilly today, hasn’t it?

I am very sorry to hear that it takes a long time to write an English message for this blog. But I really understand how you feel. Sunflower said the same thing on the phone the other day. But, practice makes perfect, and that is the only way to improve our English ability, I guess. So, please keep writing, Cherry and Sunflower. Some day in the near future, you will find it not so hard to write in this blog every day.

I made a pillowcase this morning. Actually I was going to make a pillowcase with my Taiwanese lecturer friend at my house. She said that she had never used a sewing machine and would like to know how to use it. So, I suggested that we should make a pillowcase together, of course, one for each. Then I got some material for it, but I rarely met her after I left my university work.

When I visited my sister in Osaka last week, she said that she would like to come to Nagoya to see me if she got much better. I really don’t know if she could get much better or not, but just in case, I decided to prepare a new pillow case for her. It did not take a long time, because it is just a simple shape. The other day, I made two pin cushions, one for my daughter and one for me. It is true that I love handiwork, although I am still suffering from an arthritic pain.

But today I did not take any tablet for my pain, and I was OK. It’s great, because it is a sign of improvement, isn’t it? I am very happy about it. But, anyway, I decided to hire someone who could do domestic work for me, just in case. Precaution is very important in my case, because I really don’t want to go through that pain any more.

I hope you are having a good time on the first day of October. I am presently tired now, because I worked a little hard today. I will talk to you again tomorrow, the second day of October. Goodnight, my deaf friends.

Hi, everyone.

Cherry, you have a cutting edge. I don't know how to use the ipod. I won't be able to follow some sophisticated divices 10 years later and will have a Tu-Ka celluler phone definitely.

In my house, chores are shared. I am terribly poor at sewing. Especailly, the person concerned with a sewing machine is the husban. My daughter's teacher was him. At the end of the year, my husband used to use it to sew the curtains. After they are washed, they are frayed at the seam. He is in charge of the repair in my house. What is my role?

Magnolia, Sunflower and Cosmos, I guess you are tired from traveling, but would you tell us the story of your precious expericences at the respective destinations?

Hello, everyone.

I came back from Karuizawa last night. Unfortunately it was raining during the trip and we couldn't walk around nor ride a bike, so we just went to see nice museums there and relaxed at the hotel.
We, 4 members including me are neighbors and have been reading Daily Yomiuri once a week together for more than 20 years and once or twice a year we go on a trip together and usually we have 6 members, but this time 2 of them were absent.
We like arts and went to Mercian Museum in Miyota near Karuizawa.
It held the exhibition of the Barbizon school and the Impressionists, which was a marvelous museum and we had a really good time, then later we had a chance of the factory tour of Mercian brewery and wine testing, but I'm sorry that I am too weak to drink, so I could just sip some 50cc, that was good and enough.

We went back to the XIV Karuizawa hotel and had dinner early, then we enjoyed a live concert there from 7 to 8 o'clock, then we talked and played cards of Daifugo, great rich.

Next day we went to Wakita Kazu Museum, which was so nice. Actually I didn't know his name, but he did a good job and his atlier with a huge nice garden was remodeled as a beautiful museum, which is so cool. Mr.Wakita died at the age of 97, but his works look very young till his late years. I bacame one of his fans.

I'd like to go to Karuizawa again in a good season. This time it was 15 degrees C., so cold and rainy.
I couldn't see Mt. Asama at all. It was in the fog and clouds.
But both museums were very good and I really recommend you go once.
