Hi, everyone!
Today I’d like to talk about my best music of this year. I have become a lover of old favorite songs, as I mentioned before and it’s because of my age. I like a cover trilogy of Hideaki Tokunaga these days. Those songs on it are all women’s songs, such as Miyuki Nakajima, Mariya Takeuchi, Yuming, and so on. His voice has a feeling of transparency and cool, and I usually enjoy his CD while my cooking in the kitchen. I chose this without hesitate as the best music of this year.
For my essay, now I’m reading ‘ warawa no hansyogai’ by Hideko Fukuda, a pioneer of women’s liberation movement. This book was published at about one hundred years ago, when she was forty- years old, but her statements on it are not only fresh, but also very powerful even for people today. I’m interested by those who were energetic in women’s empowerment in Meiji era.
So, I’ll talk to you tomorrow, good bye!

Dear Cherry and friends,
Hi! Sorry for not atteding the blog for a while. Recently I only check up this blog and read your diary and all of your comments.
I'm preparing for a small presentation. Tomorrow evening, I will talk about our Essays project and my thesis at a meeting held in Mikawamiya. I haven't finished writing the speech manuscript yet.
As for the part about our Essays, it's exciting for me to talk about our group. In fact, I'm very proud of you and our project.
The problem is about my thesis. Although it is in Japanese and it's only 15 minutes, I still don't know what to say. How frustrating!
I want to finish writing it by the midnight and have a good night's sleep.
Talk to you later.
Have a good weekend.
Dear Cherry and friends,
I was terrified at the news of random firing in Sasebo. I cannot believe such a tragedy occured in Japan. The criminal is on the run, which is horrible.
By the way, I have not listened to Tokunaga Hideaki's music. I'm interested in his music. As for music I got a CD through Amazon. It is a CD of a concert in White House hosted by the 34th president Kennedy. Pablo Casals, a cellist played in it. I have wanted this CD. Among his music, Song of Birds, a Spanish folk song(?) is very popular. They say the singings of birds flying there sound like Peace Peace. Longing for peace is borderless and ageless. I feel very sad about the news.
Alice, I hope your presentation will make a great success.
Hello, everybody
I am very surprised to hear the news that reported the illness the Crown Princess Kiko. That is the same as Plum’s. I really sympathize with them in the unbearable pain.
This season is the busiest season in a year for Japanese, because many Japanese tend to be punctual in carrying out routine customs for the yearend season and new –year days. I have decided to take it easy, for example, I won’t pond steamed rice into cake, cook only a few auspicious dishes for new-year days, and clean house as usual, not big cleaning.
Anyway, tomorrow I am going to the lecture meeting of Dr. Ueno in Tunagaretto. I am looking forward to seeing some of you. As to essay, which is still only a phantom for me, I want to read BUSHIDO by Inazo Nitobe until the end of this year. He is known to be a devout Christian but had a typical mind of Japanese warrior. But I don’t know this book is related with my future essay. However I am very interested in him. I hope I’ll be able to give you my impression about the book later some days. Now I’ stop here today.
Be careful not to catch a cold. Don’ t do too much. Let’s take it easy, friends. See you soon.
